Badí‘

Badí‘ (Arabic: ﺑﺪﻳﻊ‎‎ 1852 – 1869) was the title of Mírzá Áqá Buzurg-i-Nishapuri, also known by the title the Pride of Martyrs. He was the son of `Abdu'l-Majid-i-Nishapuri, a follower of the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh.

Badí‘ is most famous for being the bearer of a tablet written by Bahá'u'lláh to Nasiri'd-Din Shah, for which he was tortured and killed at the age of 17. He is also one of the foremost Apostles of Bahá'u'lláh.

The Kitáb-i-Badí', a book written by Bahá'u'lláh, has no relation to the Badí‘ of this article.

Travels

Although Badí's father was a Bahá'í, Badí was originally not touched by the new religion. He was an unruly and rebellious youth, and his father described him as the "despair of the family". It was upon a meeting with Nabíl-i-A`zam that Badí‘ heard a poem by Bahá'u'lláh and began weeping. After finishing his studies, he gave away his possessions and set out on foot for Baghdad, where a significant number of Bahá'ís were under persecution. Finally he set out on foot from Mosul through Baghdad to the prison city of `Akka.

Bad (U2 song)

"Bad" is a song by rock band U2 and the seventh track from their 1984 album, The Unforgettable Fire. A song about heroin addiction, it is considered a fan favourite, and is one of U2's most frequently performed songs in concert.

A performance of the song at 1985's Live Aid was a career breakthrough for the band.

The live version included as the opening track of the Wide Awake in America EP is frequently chosen for airplay by radio DJs ahead of the studio version. The song is featured on the trailer of Brothers and in the opening and closing sequences of Taking Lives.

History

"Bad" began with an improvised guitar riff during a jam session at Slane Castle where U2 were recording The Unforgettable Fire. The basic track was completed in three takes. Of its immediate and live nature, U2 guitarist the Edge said "There's one moment where Larry puts down brushes and takes up the sticks and it creates this pause which has an incredibly dramatic effect." Producer Brian Eno added the sequencer arpeggios that accompany the song.

Banyan VINES

Banyan VINES was a computer network operating system and the set of computer network protocols it used to connect to client machines on the network. The name was an acronym for Virtual Integrated Network Service. Banyan Systems ran as a collection of services on top of AT&T UNIX System V, and based its core network protocols on the archetypical Xerox XNS stack. VINES was one of a group of XNS-based systems that also included Novell NetWare. It has since disappeared from the market, along with Banyan Systems.

James Allchin, who later worked as Group Vice President for Platforms at Microsoft Corporation until his retirement on January 30, 2007, was the chief architect of Banyan VINES.

VINES technology

VINES ran on a low-level protocol known as VIP—the VINES Internetwork Protocol—that was essentially identical to the lower layers of XNS. Addresses consisted of a 32-bit address and a 16-bit subnet that mapped to the 48-bit Ethernet address to route to machines. This meant that, like other XNS-based systems, VINES could only support a two-level internet.

Momoe Nakanishi

Momoe Oe (大江 百重, Ōe Momoe, born July 7, 1980) is a Japanese retired professional wrestler, better known by her maiden name, Momoe Nakanishi (中西 百重, Nakanishi Momoe) Nakanishi made her debut for the All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (AJW) in July 1996 at the age of sixteen and during the next seven years, won all of the promotion's top titles, including the WWWA World Championship and the WWWA World Tag Team Championship. In 2003, Nakanishi quit AJW to become a freelancer and went on to win the AtoZ World Championship later that same year and the NEO Single and NWA Women's Pacific Championships in 2004. Nakanishi retired from professional wrestling on January 7, 2005, at the age of just twenty-four. She now works as a trainer at the U.W.F. Snakepit gym.

The Life Before Us

The Life Before Us (1975; French: La vie devant soi) is a novel by French author Romain Gary who wrote it under the pseudonym of "Emile Ajar". It was originally published in English as Momo then re-published in 1986 as The Life Before Us. It won the Prix Goncourt prize the same year it was published.

Synopsis

Momo, a Muslim orphan boy who is about 10 years old, lives under the care of an old Jewish woman named Madame Rosa, who was a prisoner at Auschwitz and later became a prostitute in Paris. Momo's mother abandoned him with Madame Rosa, who is essentially a babysitter for the children of prostitutes. They live on the sixth floor of an apartment building in Belleville, a district of Paris. In their apartment building, Madam Rosa made a small hideout in a cellar, where she keeps artifacts of her Jewish heritage. The young boy tells the story of his life in the orphanage and of his relationship with Madame Rosa as she becomes increasingly sick, culminating with her death, after she had expressed her desire to not die in hospital on life support, saying that she does not want to be a vegetable being forced to live.

Bulbulay

Bulbulay (Urdu: بلبلے‎, English: "Bubbles") is a family sitcom and is aired daily at 6:30 pm about an unconventional Pakistani family and the troubles they get into. The show is directed by Rana Rizwan and is written by Ali Imran. It is produced by Nabeel who is also the lead character of the show. The show gained popularity after the introduction of Hina Dilpazeer, who plays Momo, It is a successful sitcom in the country with high TRP.

Bulbulay was first aired 22 October 2009 on ARY Digital and was later broadcast on ARY Digital in UK. It also holds the record for the longest running television series of Pakistan.

Plot

Most episodes are about Nabeel and friends being conned, robbed or just having bad luck. Every episode ends with the family being ripped off, or either of the men getting a beating from their wives for flirting with other women. The storyline starts off with Nabeel and Mehmood living in an apartment as bachelors and progresses to both of them getting married and having children. The show is known to break the fourth wall all the time.
