"Bad Girl" is a song by Japanese recording artist Meisa Kuroki from her debut extended play (EP), Hellcat. The song was one of the main tracks used to promote the album. "Bad Girl" was featured in the 2009 film Crows Zero 2, in which Kuroki also appears. A "movie version" of the song was included on the film's soundtrack, released simultaneously with Hellcat on April 8, 2009. The music video for "Bad Girl" was directed by Kensuke Kawamura.

Confessions is the fourth studio album by American R&B recording artist Usher; it was released on March 23, 2004, by Arista Records. Recording sessions for the album took place during 2003 to 2004 with production by Jermaine Dupri, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Lil Jon, among others. Primarily an R&B album, Confessions showcases Usher as a crooner and incorporates musical elements of hip hop and crunk. The album's themes generated controversy about Usher's personal relationships; however, the album's primary producer Jermaine Dupri claimed the record reflects his personal story.
The album was an instant commercial success in the United States, selling 1.1 million copies in its first week. Its continued success was bolstered by its four chart-topping singles. As a strategy to boost its sales amid threats of bootlegging, a special edition was issued with the hit single "My Boo". Despite some mixed criticism towards its lyrical substance, Confessions received mostly positive reviews and earned Usher several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
"Bad Girl" is a single by American singer La Toya Jackson. It was the lead single and title track of her 1989 album Bad Girl.
In 1989 Jackson started working on her sixth album, which was by then tentatively titled On My Own, with German producer Anthony Monn. The album was to be released by German label TELDEC and distributed through RCA records, like her previous studio album La Toya. Bad Girl was chosen as the lead single and it was released through TELDEC in mid-1989 in Germany, where it failed to chart. The single featured the b-side Piano Man. The song's title is a play on her brother's successful 1987 song Bad.
TELDEC and RCA records decided not to release the 9-track On My Own album, reportedly because of issues with Jackson's then-manager Jack Gordon, and the album was shelved. It was not until 1990 that Gordon sold the album to Sherman Records, who first released it in Italy as 12" vinyl album and later licensed it to countless small labels to release it. The album was retitled Bad Girl, and included three new tracks: the b-side Piano Man, Sexual Feeling and You and Me, the latter two of which Jackson had recorded in 1990. The original issue of the Bad Girl album featured the same artwork as the Bad Girl single.
Alabama 3 are an English band mixing rock, electronic, blues, country, gospel, and spoken word styles, founded in Brixton, London in 1995. In the United States, the band is known as A3, allegedly to avoid any possible legal conflict with the country music band Alabama. The group achieved success when the producers of hit TV series The Sopranos chose the track "Woke Up This Morning" for the show's opening credits.
The band is notable for their fusion of styles, ironic lyrics, intentionally humorous personae, and outrageous live performances. Every member of the group has an alias, the band's founding members adopting the personas Larry Love (Rob Spragg) and The Very Reverend Dr. D. Wayne Love (Jake Black).
The band formed when Jake Black met Rob Spragg at an acid house party in Peckham and they decided that a fusion of country music with acid house was a musical possibility. Other members of the band were added over time. Rob Spragg was at university with Piers Marsh, the harmonica player and synthesizer programmer for the band, while Orlando Harrison, the group's current keyboardist, used to live with Jake Black. Prior to the formation of Alabama 3, and following the demise of The Jangletties, Black generated little or no recorded output for several years.
Alabama is a southern state in the United States.
Alabama may also refer to:
Alabama is a Gloucester fishing schooner that was built in 1926 and served as the pilot boat for Mobile, Alabama. The Alabama's home port is Vineyard Haven Harbor, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Alabama is owned by The Black Dog Tall Ships, along with the Shenandoah, and offers cruises of Nantucket Sound.
The schooner Alabama was one of the last vessels built from the design of one of the most notable designers of Gloucester Fishing Schooners, Thomas F. McManus. Commissioned by the Mobile Bar Pilot Association of Mobile, Alabama, the vessel was built in Pensacola, Florida, launched in 1926, and originally called Alabamian until her predecessor the Bar Pilot Association's original Alabama was retired. Though the hull bore strong resemblance of McMannus' famous Gloucester fishing schooner designs, it served as a pilot boat stationed on the Mobile Bar until 1966.
In 1967 the schooner was bought by Captain Robert S. Douglas, master and designer of the Shenandoah, and moved to Vineyard Haven. There she sat on a mooring with minimal necessary upkeep until 1994. In the early nineties with a dwindling market for windjammer cruises which leave out most modern amenities kids became the new direction for the Coastwise Packet Company - the original name for what is now also The Black Dog Tall Ships. Because of the success of these "Kids Cruises" on board the Shenandoah, Alabama was to be rebuilt by the Five Corners Shipbuilding Company headed by Gary Maynard a former First Mate that sailed on the Shenandoah. Most of the work was done in Vineyard Haven with the vessel afloat on her mooring using Captain Douglas' own power tools and shop space. Any other work was done in Fairhaven, Massachusetts at D.N. Kelly's Shipyard.
