Back to Mine is a series of mix albums, usually (though not always) mixed by renowned DJs or composers of electronic music. The compilations usually feature artists other than the artist compiling the album, and are based on what the artist would play at home after a night out, rather than as part of a nightclub session.
The first volume was released in February 1999 by DJ Nick Warren. Since volume seven, the albums have borne the subtitle "a personal collection for after-hours grooving".
Back to Mine was published by the Disco Mix Club, but ended the series with Volume 28. The artwork for Volumes 6–19 and 25–28 were produced by London-based artist Tommy Penton.
Back to Mine by Faithless was the fifth in the series of Back to Mine albums released. It was compiled by Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong of Faithless. It was released on the 16 October 2000. The album is, as all Back to Mine albums are, a compilation of tracks which were important to/liked by members of Faithless who compiled the album. It is not considered an official Faithless release, but an official release in the series of Back to Mine albums. Unlike most Back to Mine releases there were two different versions released with one having a song from the track listing removed. Sunday 8PM was also renamed Sunday 6PM for the second release with the shorter track listing.
Back to Mine: Groove Armada is a compilation album from the Back to Mine series from Ultra Records. It was compiled by British electronica band Groove Armada.
My older brother Tommy
Was a lineman
Rest his soul
His job was hanging hot wires
On them high-line power poles
Every morning bright and early
He'd climb way up in the sky
And I never understood it
So one day I asked him why
He said it pays big money
And man I'm into that
It pays big money
If you're willing to
Take a chance
Let me tell you something sonny
You ought to see
My bank account
It pays big money but
He sure can't spend it now
Well, my late Uncle Charlie
Was this demolition hound
He'd travel across the country
Blowing buildings to the ground
He carried a case of dynamite
Seemed everywhere he went
He smoked them big long cigars
And he'd wink at you and grin
Well now the
Moral of this story boys
Is don't go
Getting yourself killed
Be kind to your rich relatives
They just might
Put you in their will
That pays big money and
We're all into that
It pays big money and
Big money's where it's at
Let me tell you something sonny
You ought to see my bank account
It pays big money and
We're rolling in it now
It pays big money
Having foolish kin
It pays big money
Guess I owe it all to them
Let me show you something sonny
Take a look at this bank account
It pays big money
