Baby Daddy

Baby Daddy is a Freeform original comedy television series that premiered on June 20, 2012. The series follows Ben, a man in his twenties, who gets the surprise of his life when a one-night stand leaves his baby at his doorstep. Ben decides to raise his little girl with the help of his brother, Danny, his two close friends, Riley and Tucker, and his mother, Bonnie.

Development and production

The series was given a green-light on February 2, 2012 and began production on March 28, 2012. On August 17, 2012, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on May 29, 2013.

On March 22, 2013, ABC Family announced that Baby Daddy was renewed for a third season, two months before the second season premiered. The third season premiered on January 15, 2014.

Baby Daddy was renewed for a fourth season on March 17, 2014. It premiered on October 22, 2014, with the series' first Halloween episode "Strip or Treat".

On February 27, 2015, the series was renewed for a fifth season. It premiered on February 3, 2016.

Tahj Mowry

Tahj Dayton Mowry (/tɑːʒ ˈmɔːri/; born May 17, 1986) is an American actor, voice actor, dancer, and singer perhaps best known for his role as T.J. Henderson on The WB sitcom, Smart Guy, and as Wade on the animated comedy, Kim Possible on the Disney Channel. Mowry is recently on the hit ABC Family comedy series Baby Daddy as Tucker. He is the brother of identical twins Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry. He is also known for his role on Full House by the name of Teddy; playing the best friend of Michelle.

Early life

Tahj Dayton Mowry was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 17, 1986. His mother, Darlene Renee Mowry (née Flowers), managed her children's careers. His father, Timothy John Mowry, was in the U.S. Army, and later became a custody officer/jailer with the City of Glendale Police Department, when the family moved to California.

His father, who is white, has English ancestry, and his mother, who is black, is of Afro-Bahamian descent. His parents met in high school, in Miami, Florida. Both joined the U.S. Army, and both would eventually reach the rank of Sergeant. His older twin sisters are Tia and Tamera Mowry, and he also has a brother, Tavior.

Jean-Luc Bilodeau

Jean-Luc Bilodeau (born November 4, 1990) is a Canadian actor who has been acting since 2004. He is best known for his role as Josh Trager in the ABC Family channel program Kyle XY. Bilodeau has also appeared in films and television series such as Ill Fated, Trick 'r Treat, 16 Wishes, No Ordinary Family and Best Player. He was also in Emmalyn Estrada's music video "Don't Make Me Let You Go" and plays Jeremy in the movie "LOL". He currently stars in the ABC Family/Freeform sitcom Baby Daddy, in which he plays Ben, a young twenty-two-year-old who has to raise his three-month-old daughter after she is left at his doorstep by his ex-girlfriend.

Early life

Bilodeau is the son of Raymond and Barbara Bilodeau, and has a sister, Danielle, who is a talent agent in Vancouver, British Columbia. Before becoming an actor, he was a dancer for nine years, but dropped dancing because of his busy film schedule.

Acting

Jean-Luc is recognisable as best friend Jay in the Disney Channel Original movie 16 Wishes, starring Debby Ryan and as Ash alongside Jennette McCurdy and Jerry Trainor in the Nickelodeon Original movie Best Player. He is currently playing the lead role of Ben on the successful ABC Family series Baby Daddy co-starring Chelsea Kane. He also played a small supporting role in the coming of age film "LOL" which starred Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus.

The sitcom stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau as Ben Wheeler a bartender, who while moving his brother Danny Wheeler (Derek Theler) into his and his best friend Tucker Dobbs' (Tahj Mowry) apartment, he's surprised when Emma, a baby girl, is left on his doorstep by Angela, a girl with whom he had a one-night stand. He gets help from his mother Bonnie Wheeler (Melissa Peterman) and his close female friend Riley Perrin (Chelsea Kane) who also is in love with him.

Both Lacey Chabert and Grace Phipps also had recurring roles this season.Wayne Brady guest starred in the episode "There's Something Fitchy Going On".
