Axel! is a German comedy television series, about the adventures of teenager Axel (Axel Stein). Every episode starts with Axel telling his psychologist about his week. It aired on Sat.1 between 2002 and 2004. It continued in 2005 with Axel! will’s wissen.

Axel jump

The Axel is a figure skating jump with a forward take off. It is named after Norwegian figure skater Axel Paulsen, who, in 1882, was the first skater to perform the jump. Compared to other common figure skating jumps, an Axel has an extra ½ rotation in the air because of its forward take off. Most skaters perform the jump with counterclockwise rotation, taking off from the left forward outside edge and landing on the right back outside edge. The Axel can also be done as a double jump with 2½ rotations, or as a triple jump with 3½ rotations. As of February 2014, no skater has accomplished a quadruple Axel (4½ rotations) in competition.

Value in competition

Axel jump is considered the most technically difficult jump among six types of jumps in single figure skating. According to ISU judging system, a triple Axel jump has a base value of 8.5 points, while a double Axel has that of 3.3 points. This makes a triple Axel the highest base-valued triple jump, above other triple jumps such as triple Lutz (6), triple flip (5.3), triple loop (5.1), triple Salchow (4.2), and triple toe loop (4.1).

Organization XIII

Organization XIII (Japanese: XIII機関, Hepburn: Jūsan Kikan) is a fictional group of characters featured in Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios' Kingdom Hearts video game series. The group comprises thirteen beings without hearts called "Nobodies".

The Organization was originally introduced in the secret battle of the unknown (Xemnas) and the bonus trailer of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, "Another Side, Another Story [deep dive]", where their Japanese name was translated as the "Thirteenth Order". The group was later introduced as the "Organization" in the game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, where they serve as the main antagonists, and returns in the same role in Kingdom Hearts II. Organization XIII is prominently featured in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days as characters available for play, along with a new female member named Xion. Several members, prior to becoming Nobodies, appear in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, return following their restoration in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and will return in Kingdom Hearts III.

Suikoden IV

Suikoden IV (Japanese: 幻想水滸伝IV, Hepburn: Gensō Suikoden Fō,  (listen) ) is a role-playing video game developed and published by Konami for the Sony PlayStation 2 video game console and is the fourth installment of the Suikoden video game series. It was released in August 2004 in Japan, and early 2005 in North America and Europe.

Suikoden IV takes place approximately 150 years before the events of the first Suikoden game, and relates the story of a young boy living on the island of Razril and the Rune of Punishment, one of the 27 True Runes. The Rune of Punishment governs both atonement and forgiveness, and is unusual in that it consumes the life of the bearer with use; once the previous bearer dies, it immediately jumps to someone nearby. Meanwhile, the Kooluk Empire seeks to expand into the nearby Island Nations.

Konami later produced Suikoden Tactics, a spinoff that serves as a direct prequel, side-story, and sequel to Suikoden IV.

Axel (name)

Axel (also Aksel) is a Scandinavian masculine given name. In Denmark and Norway the spelling form Aksel is more common. The Finnish form of the name is Akseli. A French feminine form is Axelle.

Due to the Danish archbishop Absalon (1128–1201) being also known as "Axel of Lund", the name has been interpreted as a corruption of the Hebrew name Absalom. Axel arose via Axelen from Absalon, possibly by conflation with the existing name Askel, Askil, medieval forms of the Old Norse name Ásketill, from ans "god" and ketill "cauldron".
