Aura (symptom)

An aura is a perceptual disturbance experienced by some with migraines or seizures before either the headache or seizure begins. It often manifests as the perception of a strange light, an unpleasant smell, or confusing thoughts or experiences. Some people experience aura without a subsequent migraine or seizure (see silent migraine). Auras vary by individual experience; some people experience smells, lights, or hallucinations. Less known symptoms of the eye include disturbances, where the eyes roll in the back of the head caused by photosensitivity. A sufferer of this type of aura may experience tearfulness of the eyes and uncontrollable sensations of light followed by reduced symptoms after approximately 20 minutes; it is the rarest type of aura.

When occurring, auras allow epileptic people time to prevent injury to themselves and/or others. The time between the appearance of the aura and the migraine lasts from a few seconds up to an hour. The aura can stay with a migraine sufferer for the duration of the migraine; depending on the type of aura, it can leave the person disoriented and confused. It is not uncommon for migraine sufferers to experience more than one type of aura during the migraine. Most people who have auras have the same type of aura every time.

Aura clan

The Aura are a Muslim Jat tribe, found mainly in Gujar Khan Tehsil of Rawalpindi District. Chak 21 S.B. is large settlement of the Aura in Sargodha District. These Aura are immigrants from Gujar Khan Tehsil who were settled in the Sargodha region in the 19th Century. Other villages include Balakhar in Rawalpindi District and Abdullahpur in Jhelum District.

Name

The name Aura originates from the Old High German Uraha. The word ur meant Aurochs, and the word aha meant stream, meaning it was a river where Aurochs lived. The river gives the Gemeinde Aura im Sinngrund its name.

Course

The river originates in the Forst Aura in a valley near Aura im Sinngrund and flows in a southerly direction. In Fellen, it meets its largest tributary, the Fellach. At its mouth, the Aura then turns to the east. The mouth of the river is in Burgsinn, where it flows into the Flutgraben, an anabranch of the Sinn

Master of ceremonies

A master of ceremonies (also used in its abbreviated forms MC or emcee) or compère [commère being the female form] is the official host of a staged event or similar performance.

An MC usually presents performers, speaks to the audience, entertains people, and generally keeps the event moving. An MC may also tell jokes or anecdotes. The MC sometimes also acts as the protocol officer during an official state function.

The term is also used to refer to television game show hosts and/or hostesses.

In hip hop and electronic dance music, an MC, also referred to as a rapper, is a music artist and/or performer who usually creates and performs vocals for his/her own original material. An emcee focuses on skills, lyrical ability, and subject matter.

Origins

The term originates from the Catholic Church. The Master of Ceremonies is an official of the Papal Court responsible for the proper and smooth conduct of the elegant and elaborate rituals involving the Pope and the sacred liturgy. He may also be an official involved in the proper conduct of protocols and ceremonials involving the Roman Pontiff, the Papal Court, and other dignitaries and potentates. Examples of official liturgical books prescribing the rules and regulations of liturgical celebrations are Cæremoniale Romanum and Cæremoniale Episcoporum.

"Renesas" is an invented name and a contraction of Renaissance Semiconductor for Advanced Solutions.

History

Renesas Electronics started operation in April 2010, through the integration of NEC Electronics Corporation and Renesas Technology Corporation. NEC Electronics was established in November 2002 by a spin-off of the semiconductor operations of NEC. Renesas Technology was established on April 1, 2003, as a joint venture of Hitachi, Ltd. (55%) and Mitsubishi Electric (45%).
