Athus (German: Athem, Luxembourgish: Attem, Walloon: Atu) is a town and section of the Aubange municipality of the province of Luxembourg, in south-eastern Belgium. It is located in the far south of the country, just near the borders with France and Luxembourg. It is a French speaking city, though the traditional language is Luxembourgish.
The city was famous during the 19th and 20th century because of its steelworks factory which closed in the 1970s.
The city is surrounded by two boundaries: the one with France and the other one with Luxembourg; city was built around the Messancy river and the river Chiers, both right tributaries to the Meuse river. Directly across the border with Luxembourg is the town of Rodange and the town of Pétange is 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) to the east. On the French side, the main neighbouring city is Longwy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, over 5 km to the south west.
Athus is situated at 200 kilometers from Brussels, 25 from Luxembourg City and 15 from Arlon.
wish I could play outside
but soon the sun will rise
fires starting everyday
wish I could play outside
but when the night time falls
tides wash over everything here
in this insect ocean vacuum up the sky
would you see clear waves of madness
falling on the shores of discontent
wish I could play outside but soon the sun will rise
fires starting everyday wish I could play outside
but when the nightime falls
toxic tides wash over everything here
in this insect ocean vacuum up the sky
would you see clear waves of madness
falling on the shores of discontent
I think it's time no more waiting
here inside my head it's about time
I can't wait here anymore playing inside my head
wish I could play outside
I think it's time no more waiting
here inside my head it's about time
I can't wait here anymore playing inside my head
