1st Australian Task Force

The 1st Australian Task Force (1 ATF) was a brigade-sized formation which commanded Australian and New Zealand Army units deployed to South Vietnam between 1966 and 1972. 1 ATF was based in a rubber plantation at Nui Dat, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north of Ba Ria in Phuoc Tuy Province and consisted of two and later three infantry battalions, with armour, aviation, engineers and artillery support. At the Battle of Long Tan on 18 August 1966, units of 1 ATF defeated a Viet Cong force of at least regimental strength. While the task force was primarily responsible for securing Phuoc Tuy Province, its units, and the Task Force Headquarters itself, occasionally deployed outside its Tactical Area of Responsibility including during Operation Coburg and the Battle of Coral–Balmoral in 1968. Other significant actions included Hat Dich in late-December 1968 and early 1969, Binh Ba in June 1969, and Long Khanh in June 1971. 1 ATF was withdrawn in late 1971.

Formation

USS Cahuilla (ATF-152)

USS Cahuilla (ATF-152) was a Navajo class fleet tug in the service of the United States Navy during World War II. In 1961 she was sold to the Argentine Navy as ARA Irigoyen (A-1) where she served until 2009 when became a Museum ship.

US Navy service

She was laid down as Cahuilla (AT-152) at Charleston Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. of Charleston, South Carolina; redesignated fleet ocean tug (ATF-152) on 15 May 1944; launched on 2 November 1944; and commissioned USS Cahuilla (ATF-152) on 10 March 1945.

World War II Pacific Theatre operations

USS Cahuilla's first service to the U.S. Navy was a brief tour as antisubmarine attack teacher at Norfolk, Virginia. From there she sailed 18 April 1945 towing USS Pegasus (AK-48) for Pearl Harbor. After delivering her tow 24 May, the fleet tug sailed for Guam, where she took a string of pontoon barges in tow for Okinawa.

From 26 July to 6 August, she served to escort convoys and as rescue tug for the ships passing through the dangerous waters off Okinawa, subject to the desperate suicide attacks of Japanese aircraft.

Stargate SG-1 (season 7)

Season seven of Stargate SG-1, an American-Canadian television series, began airing on June 13, 2003 on Sci Fi. The seventh season concluded after 22 episodes on March 9, 2004 on British Sky One, which overtook the Sci-Fi Channel in mid-season. The series was developed by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner. Season seven regular cast members include Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, and Don S. Davis.

Production

With "Fallen", Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson) rejoins the cast, and Corin Nemec (Jonas Quinn) gets billed as a "Guest Star" (besides "Fallen"/"Homecoming", he would have his only other guest appearance later in "Fallout"). George Touliatos previously played Pyrus, Shyla's father, in "Need." The scenes with the Goa'uld motherships flying in hyperspace are actually stock footage from the Season 2 episode "The Serpent's Lair." Director Martin Wood has a cameo in "Fallen" as the man in the elevator with Jonas at the beginning of the episode. Peter DeLuise, who directed "Fragile Balance", provided the voice of Loki in the same episode. Christopher Heyerdahl, who played Pallan in "Revisions", would later play the recurring characters of Halling and the Wraith 'Todd' on Stargate Atlantis. Peter LaCroix previously played the Ashrak in "In the Line of Duty".

Fallout (heavy metal band)

Fallout was a heavy metal band formed in 1979 based out of Brooklyn, New York, USA. The band contained future Type O Negative members Peter Steele (then billed under his birth name, Peter Ratajczyk) on bass and vocals and Josh Silver on keyboards, as well as John Campos on guitars and Agnostic Front drummer Louie Beateaux (then billed as Lou Beato) on drums. Fallout released only one record before the band's demise in 1982, the "Rock Hard" 7" single, released in 1981 on Silver Records and limited to 500 copies. This record was produced by Richard Termini and William Wittman.

After three years of steady gigging, Fallout broke up. Peter and Louie went on to form Carnivore, and Josh and John formed Original Sin. After the breakup of Original Sin, John Campos went on to form his own production company: Powerhouse Entertainment Group, Inc. John recorded, produced, and wrote songs for many independent and major label artists, such as Bret Reilly, Surfing Moses, Jennifer Marks, Alex Skolnick, the Tito Puente band, Jimmy Delgado, Fat Joe, Mink, and more. He now runs a studio and production company out of Astoria, New York called One Mind Music.

Haven (season 4)

The fourth season of the American television series Haven premiered on September 13, 2013 and consisted a total of 13 episodes. The show stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour.

Production

On April 9, 2013, Syfy renewed Haven for a fourth season of thirteen episodes, which premiered on September 2013. Production began on May 8, 2013 with the premiere picking up six months after the events of the season 3 finale. Former Eureka actor Colin Ferguson joined the cast as William, a stranger whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey. Emma Lahana and former Dexter actor Christian Camargo were cast in recurring roles as Jennifer Mason and Wade Crocker respectively.
