Magic: The Gathering (1997 video game)

Magic: The Gathering is a computer game published by MicroProse in April 1997 based on the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. It is often referred to as Shandalar after the plane of Shandalar, where the game takes place. The player must travel the land and fight random enemies to gain cards, and defeat five wizards representing the five colors. The player must prevent one color from gaining too much power, and defeat the planeswalker Arzakon, who has a deck of all five colors. Adventure game and role-playing game elements are present, including inventory, gold, towns, dungeons, random battles, and character progression in the form of new abilities and a higher life point total. An oversized version of Aswan Jaguar was included in the game box.

Two related products were released, the expansion pack Spells of the Ancients and Duels of the Planeswalkers. Duels of the Planeswalkers was an improved version of the main game that didn't require the original to be installed.

Girls (Beastie Boys song)

"Girls" is a song by American hip hop group the Beastie Boys, released in 1987 as well as the music video as the seventh and final single from their debut album Licensed to Ill. Like "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)", this song was never performed live and it is one of the few songs on the album that are not in the vein of their standard rap songs.

Song structure and lyrics

The song is the shortest on the album, lasting just over 2 minutes long. The song's instrumental is relatively simple, consisting of a drum beat being played over a vibraphone loop, with occasional pauses. The song contains many similarities to the song "Shout" by The Isley Brothers.

Lyrically, the song talks about the narrator (Ad-Rock)'s desire for women. He recalls a experience from two years before with a woman who had an interest in the narrator's band mate MCA. MCA did not share her feelings and permitted the narrator to pursue her romantically. Ad-Rock takes the woman for a walk near a body of water and asks for her hand. The woman rejects his proposal. She moves to a far away location but in the present day the narrator sees her back in town showing interest in his other band mate, Mike D.

Amber Lily Solberg (born January 18, 1997), better known as simply Amber Lily, is an American singer, actress, and dancer from San Francisco, California. She was featured on Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing", or "N.B.T.".

Biography

Early life and first studio album (1997-2008)

Amber Lily Solberg was born on January 18, 1997 near Los Angeles, California, to parents Eric Solberg and Maria Elena Baduria. She is half Norwegian and half Filipino. Solberg began singing at the age of 5, where she sang Christina Aguilera's song "Reflection" at her school's first grade talent show. Later on, at age 7, she starred in her first musical theater production. On August 8, 2008, she released her first full-length album, Amber Lily, which contained 9 original songs, each co-written by Solberg and Simone Sello, who produced the entire album.

Radio Disney's Next Big Thing (2009-2010)

Amber Lily was a featured artist on Disney's "Next Big Thing", or "N.B.T", alongside 4 other acts, which were announced late 2009. Two original singles were featured on the show: "2 2 2 L8" and "Next To You." They were later featured on her second album, Coming to Life. Amber Lily did not win the competition, but has been featured on Radio Disney's channel, the same thing happens with Coco Jones and "N.B.T." winners, Kicking Daisies.

Reboot (Wonder Girls album)

Reboot (stylized as REBOOT) is the third studio album by South Korean pop girl group Wonder Girls. It was released on August 3, 2015. The Wonder Girls were more involved in the composition of this album, with each member having some writing and/or production credits on each song. This is the first album in years to feature member Sunmi and the first since departure of members Sunye and Sohee. Its lead single, 80's inspired "I Feel You" was a number one hit, released on August 2, 2015. Album charted number 2 in South Korea.

Background and composition

On June 24, 2015 it was reported that member Sunmi (Mimi) would return to the group, ever since she left the group in February 2010. On July 20, it was confirmed that members Sohee and Sunye had officially withdrawn from the group. The same day, JYP Entertainment announced the return of the Wonder Girls with a new band concept. For this concept, Sunmi plays bass guitar, Yubin plays drums, Hyelim plays guitar, and Yeeun plays piano. Individual teasers of the members playing their respective instruments began being released on July 20 and one for each member followed on each consecutive day. Despite the concept, none of the members actually recorded instrumentals for the album, despite learning to play the instruments and performing songs with their instruments live. On July 29, a promotional video for then upcoming release of Reboot was released on YouTube. On August 2, lead single "I Feel You" was released. It was promoted with a music video.
