Ashley Ann Graham (born 1987) is an American model from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is best known as a lingerie model for the plus-size clothing store Lane Bryant. She has appeared on the cover of Elle Quebec. Graham appeared in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, and Latina. In addition, she appeared in several Levi's campaigns. Graham has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Entertainment Tonight, and CBS News and was interviewed by NPR about plus-size modeling. In 2016 she became the first plus-size model to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Early life

Graham grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has two younger sisters. She attended Scott Middle School from 1999 to 2002 and attended Lincoln Southwest High School from 2002 to 2005. She was discovered in 2000 at age 12 by the I & I agency while shopping at Oak View Mall in Omaha, Nebraska while wearing her favorite team Minnesota Vikings jersey & jeans.

Career

In 2001, Graham signed a deal with Wilhelmina Models, after attending from a model convention. In 2003, she even signed a deal with Ford Models. During her early career, Graham appeared in YM magazine. In April 2007, she was profiled by Sally Singer of Vogue magazine and then appeared on the October 2009 issue of Glamour editorial 'These Bodies are Beautiful at Every Size', along with plus-size models; including Kate Dillon Levin, Amy Lemons, Lizzie Miller, Crystal Renn, Jennie Runk and Anansa Sims. In 2010, Graham appeared in a controversial Lane Bryant TV commercial. The commercial received over 800,000 views on YouTube and was reported on each news outlets, such as The Huffington Post and the New York Post. On May 31, 2010, she appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, to address the controversy.

Ashley Graham (rugby league)

Ashley Graham (born 4 June 1984 in Cairns, Queensland) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 2000s and 2010s. He played in the National Rugby League for the Parramatta Eels and North Queensland Cowboys mainly as a winger.

Rugby League Career

Graham played junior football for the Cairns Kangaroos but started his first-grade career in Sydney with the Parramatta Eels. He was nmed the 2002 Parramatta Eels season's rookie of the year.

Graham moved back to north Queensland for the 2006 season to sign for the Cowboys. In 2007 Graham was named the Cowboys' most improved player, after a season in which he scored 18 tries in 22 matches. Graham was named 18th man for Queenslands origin II game against NSW that year.

In 2011, the Cowboys named him as the club's player of the season. In August 2011, NRL and Nine Network journalist Lelia McKinnon named Graham as the most underrated player in the NRL, noting the disproportionality between his competition-leading 2702 metres gained, and his then 34-word Wikipedia article. He had led the NRL for highest metres gained by an outside back, most hit-ups and highest avg metres 139. He was also the Cowboys top try scorer for the third time with 12. He also came close to representing Queensland in State of origin in 2011. He was the club's top try-scorer for the season (12) and led his team-mates in hit-ups (417). Graham signed with the Cowboys until the 2012 season. Ashley Graham played his 100th club game for the Cowboys in 2011 and his 150th NRL game also in the same year.
