Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox (known as Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox in Europe) is the sixth book in the series Artemis Fowl by Irish writer Eoin Colfer. It was released in the U.S. on 5 July 2008, and on 7 August in the U.K. At 432 pages, it is the longest book in the series. In Colfer's video blogs, he mentioned the book, saying it may not be the last, but the last one for at least 3 years. It is followed by Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex.
Angeline Fowl, Artemis Fowl's mother contracts a debilitating disease, which Artemis worsens by trying to use magic. Artemis desperately contacts Captain Holly Short and №1, in hopes that they will be able to shed some new light on his mother's condition. They determine Angeline is suffering from Spelltropy, a fairy disease that is spread through the use of magic, and can only be cured by the brain fluid of the silky sifaka lemur of Madagascar. Unfortunately, the lemur is extinct, due to a ruthless deal Artemis made almost 8 years ago with a group called the Extinctionists. Foaly tells him that his mother will die without the cure. Artemis pleads for №1 to open up the time stream, allowing him to save the lemur, and thus his mother. Foaly argues against the idea, but due to Artemis' lying to Holly, saying that she infected Angeline with Spelltropy, Holly agrees to help Artemis immediately to make up for it, and Foaly had to give in.
Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony (known as Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony in Europe) is the fifth book in the Artemis Fowl Series by Irish writer Eoin Colfer. The book, originally expected to be published in the UK and Ireland on 7 September 2006, was shipped to stores early. On 12 September of the same year, The Lost Colony became available in the US, and was released soon to other countries. It is followed by Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox.
In Barcelona, Spain, Artemis Fowl II and Butler, his bodyguard, wait for a demon. They suddenly encounter a demon who transports Artemis through time. Before Artemis is lost in time, Butler is able to get a hand on Artemis and pull him back to the present, thanks to the silver cuffs he is wearing. Meanwhile, Wing Commander Vinyáya brings Holly Short and Mulch Diggums, who have recently been working on their semi-successful PI business, to secret organisation Section Eight, an elite squad whose work includes the monitoring of demon activity. The island of Hybras was lifted out of time at the battle of Tailte by the demon warlocks to allow the demons to recover so they could resume the fairy war with humans. However the process went wrong and the demons have been unable to return. Occasionally demons appear on Earth when they are pulled back due to their strong connection to the Moon. Foaly informs Holly that Artemis was able to predict a such a demon materialisation when Section 8 could not. Holly is sent to ask Artemis how he could chart the information so accurately.
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception (known as Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception in Europe) is a teen fantasy novel published in 2005, the 4th book in the Artemis Fowl series by the Irish author Eoin Colfer. Preceded by Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code and followed by Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony, it is centred on the brilliant pixie Opal Koboi's second try at rebellion (after her first attempt was a failure) and Artemis Fowl II and his fairy comrades' efforts to stop her. Critical reception was mixed, with some reviews praising the book but others pointing out confusion and poor writing. Artemis Fowl is not seen in the book as much as Opal Koboi.
The book begins with the pixie Opal Koboi faking a coma inside a hospital to avoid incarceration by the Lower Elements Police (LEP) after her failed rebellion and attempt of world domination (which took place in Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident).
Opal Koboi, who had been under 24-hour surveillance, had DNA tests done every 4 hours, a seeker-sleeper planted in her arm (a device that can make the criminal faint, it also gives his/her position away) and had her in a net trapped with monitoring pads by the LEP to ensure that Opal was actually in the asylum cell, with help from the Brill Brothers manages to replace herself with a clone, which is identical to herself (the only difference being that the clone is brain dead).
Such a bright eyed young man
With the world at my feet
Offered such amazing opportunities
Bullshit
False friendship plagued me through this process
Now I'm free I can start again, the reawakening
I've, lived the life of a recording artist
And been unfulfilled
Take this, take that,
Drain me until my passion is gone
Music was something I did for the love of
You took it from me
So many fucking sleepless nights and headaches
That no one else saw
Fuck this bullshit industry
I've had more then my fair share
Now I'll do it passionately
And let myself grow
I remember a time all too long ago
Music was my love my true meaning
I couldn't get enough
My waking obsession
These times are long behind me
Its got me thinking
Its got me thinking
Its got me thinking
And as I sit here writing this I can feel it coming back
All the joy I felt creating something from deep inside me
Working through those late, late nights
With nothing but drive to create
This is when I was content
This is my therapy
I've, lived the life of a recording artist
And been unfulfilled
Take this, take that,
Drain me until my passion is gone
Music was something I did for the love of
You took it from me
So many fucking sleepless nights and headaches
That no one else saw
Fuck this bullshit industry
I've had more then my fair share
Now I'll do it passionately
And let myself grow
I'm free! What a great feeling
What ya gonna do?
No more bullshit promises
You forced me into this
I'm free! What a great feeling
No more bullshit promises
