Arima Nambi

Arima Nambi (English:Man with the strength of the Lion) is a 2014 Indian Tamil thriller film directed by debutant Anand Shankar.Vikram Prabhu, Priya Anand, and J. D. Chakravarthy in pivotal roles. Drummer Sivamani made his debut as a music director in the film, which was shot by R. D. Rajasekhar while the editing was done by Bhuvan Srinivasan. The shoot of Arima Nambi started on 3 June 2013 in Chennai. It released on 4 July 2014 to mostly positive reviews. The film was remade in Telugu as Dynamite (2015) with Vishnu Manchu.

Arima

Arima is a borough in Trinidad and Tobago and serves as the country's third largest municipality by population. Located in East Trinidad, the population in 2011 was 33,606 according to that year's census.

The town petitioned Queen Victoria for municipal status as part of her Golden Jubilee in 1887. This was granted in the following year, and Arima became a Royal Borough on 1 August 1888. Historically, the third town of Trinidad, Arima has slid into fourth place as Chaguanas became the largest town in the country.

The calypsonian Lord Kitchener (1922–2000) was a favoured son of Arima. His remains are interred in the Santa Rosa Roman Catholic Cemetery, Arima. Footballer Clayton Ince was also born in the town.

Culture and entertainment

Arima hosts an annual Borough Day anniversary celebration in August. The celebration incorporates Carnival-style street parades and usually coincides with the staging of the Santa Rosa Carib Community annual festival. The annual Arima Carnival includes street parades of masqueraders on Carnival Tuesday, J'ouvert bands on Carnival Monday, as well as a local calypso competition.

Arima (genus)

Arima is a genus of leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae) belonging to the subfamily Galerucinae. Species of this genus are found in France, on the Italian mainland, and in Sicily. They present clear sexual dimorphism, as females are generally much larger than males.

Nambi

Nambi is a pastoral lease and sheep station located about 65 kilometres (40 mi) north east of Leonora and 110 kilometres (68 mi) south east of Leinster in the Goldfields of Western Australia,

The station was established in 1899.

The property was owned by the Leonora Pastoral company in 1925, who ran cattle on the leasehold. The Company sold 129 mixed cattle at Midland Junction sales in December 1929, another 28 in January 1930, and another 30 in March 1930.

Plans were underfoot to change to sheep as early as 1925 when Geo Sexton, one of company directors, arrived at the station to commence fencing in preparation for the arrival of sheep at the station. The station had also recently purchased eight lorries.

By 1926 Nambi sold some of their first clip with 55 bales sold at the Perth sales in October 1926. and another 46 bales in 1928.

Approximately 10,000 sheep were shorn at Nambi in 1928, with a total clip of 252 bales of wool. The shearing shed had recently been fitted with 6 stands of Lister machinery, whereas shearing had been all done by hand in the past.
