Angie (album)

Angie is the first album recorded by the Latina R&B vocalist Angela Bofill. It was produced by the GRP Records label heads Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen. It was released in 1978 on the GRP label; a digitally remastered version was released on Buddah Records in 2001.

Reception

The album was heralded as a mild success, popularizing on some of the themes of the times. The song, "This Time I'll Be Sweeter", charted fairly well on the U.S R&B front. Being the first of her kind to do so, Bofill's sophisticated vocals would prove to have an effect on the jazz, Latin and urban contemporary music audiences of the time.

Angie (1993 film)

Angie is a 1993 Dutch crime thriller film directed by Martin Lagestee. The film is about a girl named Angie (Annemarie Röttgering) who becomes involved in a life of crime.

Plot

After her return from an orphanage with her mother, Angie tries again to build a normal life. The mutual distrust is enormous. After a nasty incident with her mother's new friend Angie turns to her older brother Alex, a delinquent. While Angie is determined to make something of her life, she gets quickly caught up in the criminal world and pulls off a heist with her brother and crew and hit the road.

"Anything" is a song composed and recorded by 3T It was their first released single, and was extracted from their first album Brotherhood. This single received a Gold Certification on January 26, 1996. It reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart as it was unable to breach the five-week reign at number one of "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo, and #15 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song was the 18th biggest selling boyband single of the 90's in the UK selling 480,000 copies. It is reported to have sold 2,000,000 copies worldwide.

"Anything" is a song recorded by the German eurodance band Culture Beat. It was released in December 1993 as the third single from their second album Serenity and was released in December 1993.

The song was a hit in many countries, particularly in Austria and France where it reached number 3 and number 4, respectively, and in the UK, where it reached number 5. However, it also achieved a great success in the other countries in which it was released, such as Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Critical reception

Shawnee Smith, of Billboard magazine reviewed the song favorably, saying that the singers "do their best with a chorus that is maddeningly silly." She goes on to say that the song has "ample charm, fueled by a double-pack of remixes that are sure to woo DJs at several formats."

Anything (The Cranberries demo)

Anything is the first demo EP of the Irish band The Cranberry Saw Us, later known as The Cranberries. It was self-released in cassette format. This is the only release to feature the original singer Niall Quinn. By their next release, Water Circle, Niall Quinn had been replaced by Dolores O'Riordan as lead vocalist and primary songwriter.

Guitarist Noel Hogan designed the cover art. He made an error in the band's name, spelling it "The Cranbery Saw Us" on both the cover and the liner notes. The liner notes show the original sale price was £2.00 and overwritten with £2.50. There are no surnames mentioned in the liner notes.
