The Times is a British daily national newspaper based in London. It began in 1785 under the title The Daily Universal Register and became The Times on 1 January 1788. The Times and its sister paper The Sunday Times (founded in 1821) are published by Times Newspapers, since 1981 a subsidiary of News UK, itself wholly owned by the News Corp group headed by Rupert Murdoch. The Times and The Sunday Times do not share editorial staff, were founded independently and have only had common ownership since 1967.

Antrim was a county constituency of the Parliament of Northern Ireland from 1921 - 1929. It returned seven MPs, using the single transferable vote method of proportional representation.

Boundaries

Antrim consisted of the administrative County Antrim (that is, excluding those parts of the historic county within the County Borough of Belfast). In 1929, the constituency was divided into the Antrim Borough, Bann Side, Carrick, Larne, Mid Antrim, North Antrim and South Antrim constituencies.

Politics

Antrim had a Unionist majority, with some pockets of Nationalist support. In 1921, six Unionists and one Nationalist were elected, while in 1925, there were five unionists, one Nationalist and one member of the Unbought Tenants Association elected.

Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel is a historic inn located in the heart of Taneytown, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The Mansion is a 2 ¹⁄₂-story Greek Revival style brick masonry house constructed in 1844. The property retains many of its outbuildings and is operated as a hotel and restaurant.

Antrim was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
