Antoine Carr

Antoine Labotte Carr (born July 23, 1961) is a retired American basketball player. A 16-year NBA journeyman, he was known for the goggles he wore onto the court.

Early life

Antoine Carr was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A tall, garrulous youngster, Carr was a star basketball player at Wichita Heights High School (class of 1979)—a teammate on the 1977 Heights team was future NBA player Darnell Valentine. He accepted a scholarship to play locally at Wichita State University. A four-year player, Carr was a major contributor on a team that also included future NBA players Xavier McDaniel and Cliff Levingston, averaging 17 points per game while shooting over 55% during his college career. In his final college game he scored a school record 47 points against Southern Illinois on March 5, 1983.

He played for the US national team in the 1982 FIBA World Championship, winning the silver medal.

Antoine Carré (born March 4, 1943) was a member of the National Assembly of France. He represented the Loiret department, and is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement.

Works

The first book is titled Livre de Guitarre Contenant Plusieurs Pièces...Avec la Manière de Toucher Sur la Partie ou Basse Continue, published in Paris in 1671 and is dedicated to the Princess Palatine.

The second book, Livre de Pièces de Guitarre de Musique... was also published in Paris (c. 1675, 1690 or 1720; but probably between 1675 and 1690).
