Anthony Jasmin

Anthony Jasmin sometimes Anthony & Jasmin is a Danish pop duo who on March 28, 2014 won season 7 of the Danish version of X Factor in 2014. After Anthony Lopez and Jasmin Dahl were eliminated as solo artists at bootcamp, the duo was formed and mentored by Thomas Blachman. They reached the final and won against Lucy, mentored by Remee, becoming the first ever duo or group formation to win the Danish title.

Their debut single "Do Ya" topped Tracklisten, the official Danish Singles Chart immediately following their win. They were the first duo or group formation that won the Danish title. In June 2014, the duo released their EP Stick Together through Sony with tracks including the winning song "Do Ya" and the new title track single "Stick Together".

Anthony (film editor)

Anthony (born Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalves on 11 September 1973 in Chennai, India) is a Tamil film editor. He has worked in over twenty Tamil, Malayalam,Kannada and Telugu language films. This makes him one of the few editors to have worked for the four biggest film industries in India.

Career

Anthony studied a degree in Literature at Madras Christian College, Tambaram, but found himself unsure of a career path once he has finished his education. Following suggestions from his friends, he began learning about animation at Prasad Studio and subsequently also enrolled to learn about editing. He thereafter, received offers to work on corporate ads, trailers and documentaries from 1993 for Edit Point and continued to work in the same practice til 2004, often collaborating with leading ad film makers like Rajiv Menon. He then began to work on editing songs in films occasionally, also gaining experience by editing tele-films. Director Gautham Menon asked Anthony to edit the song "Ennai Konjam" in Kaakha Kaakha for the audio release event of that film, and impressed with his work for that song and he asked him to sign on as the film's editor. He has since associated with the biggest technicians in South Indian cinema, collaborating regularly with directors including Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Gautham Menon, Linguswamy, K. V. Anand and A. L. Vijay.

Origin

Anthony was a great singer and his album "Crow Sangeet" (Crow Music) became very popular all over the world. He was murdered by jealousy and later resurrected by nature itself. Now he is undead and as long as his soul is out of his body, his corpse lies motionless. Though several times his corpse was possessed by numerous enemies including Count Dracula.

Plot Summary

The late Anthony Gonsalvez, a young music enthusiast, composed an original album entitled "Crow Music." This album became very popular, much to the dismay of his competitors. He was tortured to death by his rivals. He is fondly remembered by his wife Julia and daughter Maria and his pet crow Prince still sits on his tombstone to mourn his death.

Whenever innocent people are subjected to injustice, Prince cries out, loud and shrill, in the graveyard. The air trembles, the clouds thunder, lightning flashes, and the dead man Anthony rises out of his grave to render the justice.

History

Jon Meyer and Troy Downing wrote Jasmin for their published book "Java Virtual Machine".

At the time of writing there were no known freely available assembler for the Java Virtual Machine instruction set. The only known compilers at the time required input in Java syntax source code, and explicitly using a JVM instruction was impossible. Therefore the authors set out to create an assembler suitable for manipulating and producing a class file to be executed on the Virtual machine.

Jasmin (Paris Métro)

Jasmin is a station on Line 9 of the Paris Métro on the Rue Jasmin. The station opened on 8 November 1922 with the opening of the first section of the line from Trocadéro to Exelmans.

It is named after the French poet Jasmin (born Jacques Boé, 1798-1864), called the wig-maker poet, whose works in Langue d’oc were the precursor of the Félibrige, the literary movement of Provençal. The Rue Jasmin is a section of the old Rue de la Cure. This was a reference to the medical cures claimed for the mineral springs of the former vineyards of the surrounding suburb of Auteuil.
