Anthony Adams nicknamed Spice (born June 18, 1980) is a former American football defensive tackle. After playing college football for Penn State, he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft, for whom he played four seasons. He played for the Chicago Bears from 2007 to 2011. On March 23, 2013, Adams announced his retirement.
Adams and his wife, Andenika, have three children. Teammates have bestowed several nicknames on Adams: Former 49ers teammate Bryant Young dubbed him "Double A" not only for his initials but also for his suspicion that Adams' extra energy came from batteries. His Penn State teammates nicknamed him "Spice." Adams was voted "Mama's Boy" his senior year at Martin Luther King High School in Detroit. Adams is a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, and was initiated at Nu Chapter. In the summer of 2012, Adams produced a series of videos on YouTube about life as an NFL free agent.

Anthony J. Adams (born October 12, 1940) is an Australian-American optometrist. He is an emeritus professor of optometry and vision science at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where he also served as dean from 1992-2001.
Adams spent his childhood in Kew, Victoria and obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Melbourne in December 1962. In the same year he got a license in optometry from the Victorian College of Optometry. In 1963 he got an invitation to move to Indiana University Bloomington to obtain a Ph.D. under the supervision of Gordon Heath. In 1967 he joined the faculty of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry as an assistant professor. Adams is editor-in-chief for Optometry and Vision Science.

Receiving his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino and his Law Degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, Adams passed the California Bar exam in July 2010.
Adams was the director of legislative affairs for San Bernardino County prior to his election to the State Assembly. He served as a member of the Hesperia Public Safety Commission. He hosted a local weekly radio broadcast on KIXW (AM Talk 960). The California State Firefighters Association and the San Bernardino County Board of Education have both named Assemblyman Adams as Legislator of the Year.
Adams was one of only six Republican legislators to approve the 2009 budget, which included tax increases despite having previously signed an anti-tax pledge. Adams chose not to run for re-election in 2010, and was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to a post on the state parole board in December 2010.
