Ansel Elgort

Ansel Elgort (born March 14, 1994) is an American actor and DJ under the stage name Ansolo (sometimes stylized as Ansølo). As a film actor, he is known for playing Tommy Ross in Carrie (2013), Caleb Prior in The Divergent Series (2014) and Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars (2014).

Early life

Elgort was born in Manhattan. His parents are Arthur Elgort, a fashion photographer who has worked extensively for Vogue for over thirty years, and Grethe Barrett Holby, an opera director. His father is of Russian Jewish descent, and his mother is of English, German, and Norwegian ancestry. His maternal grandmother, Aase-Grethe, was in the Norwegian resistance during World War II, and saved Norwegian Jewish children by moving them into neutral Sweden; because of these activities, she was imprisoned in a concentration camp.

Elgort has two older siblings, Warren, a film editor, and Sophie, a photographer. At the age of nine, his mother took him to try out for School of American Ballet. He attended The Professional Performing Arts School, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Stagedoor Manor summer camp. While at LaGuardia, Elgort performed in a rendition of Hairspray with Kyle Jean-Baptiste. Elgort started taking acting classes at the age of twelve and starred in his high school's productions of Guys and Dolls and the aforementioned Hairspray.

Ansel

Ansel is a name derived from the same root as Anselm, a mediaeval Germanic name of uncertain meaning, perhaps 'follower of a nobleman' or 'god's helmet'.

Strangers to Ourselves

Strangers to Ourselves is the sixth album by American alternative rock band Modest Mouse, which was released on March 17, 2015, two weeks after its initially announced release date of March 3. The album was leaked to the internet on March 7, 2015. On March 16, 2015, the day before the album's official release date, Strangers to Ourselves was prematurely made available for download on Amazon.com (free for Prime) and the iTunes Store.

It is the band's first studio album since We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, released in 2007, marking the longest gap between studio albums in their career. Modest Mouse recorded two albums worth of material in their sessions, though the second album still has several songs incomplete.

Joe Zook, who mixed We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, also mixed Strangers To Ourselves.

The album's cover features an aerial image of Venture Out RV Resort, located in Mesa, Arizona.

Singles

The first single from the album, "Lampshades on Fire", was made available on December 15, 2014 for streaming and digital download. Another song from the album, "Coyotes", was made available for download on January 20, 2015. The third song to be made available, "The Best Room", was released on February 3, 2015, alongside the album's track listing. A fourth track from the album, "The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box", was released on February 16, 2015. On March 3, a fifth song from the album was released, the album's final track, "Of Course We Know".

ANSEL

ANSEL, The American National Standard for Extended Latin Alphabet Coded Character Set for Bibliographic Use, was a character set used in text encoding. It provided a table of coded values for the representation of characters of the extended Latin alphabet in machine-readable form for thirty-five languages written in the Latin alphabet and for fifty-one romanized languages. The standard was reaffirmed in 2003 although it has been administratively withdrawn by ANSI effective 14 February 2013. It is registered as Registration # 231 in the ISO International Register of Coded Character Sets to be Used with Escape Sequences.

ANSEL is composed of a set of 63 graphic characters intended for use with ASCII, the American National Standard Code for Information Interchange, ANSI X3.4-1986, including 29 combining diacritic characters. A combining diacritic character precedes the spacing character on which it should be superimposed.
