Anna-Lisa

Anna-Lisa (born 1933) is a Norwegian-born actress who has primarily appeared in American films and television.

She was born in Oslo, Norway, as Anna Lisa Ruud and worked there at the Central Theater. In 1954, she traveled to the United States to visit her brother, a travel agent in Hollywood, California. This led to an acting career in which she was cast in guest-starring roles in such western television series as Sugarfoot, Maverick, and Bronco, all of which were aired by ABC/Warner Brothers. She guest starred on the 1960 series, The Islanders, an adventure/drama set in the South Pacific.

Anna-Lisa then acquired a recurring role as Nora Travers in the ABC western series Black Saddle, with Peter Breck and Russell Johnson. Her success in Black Saddle resulted in roles in two spaceflight-themed feature films: the 1959 comedy Have Rocket, Will Travel and a year later in 12 to the Moon. She continued to appear in such television series as GE True, hosted by Jack Webb, until she left Hollywood to follow a career on the stage.

Anna Liza

Anna Liza is a Philippine television series produced by GMA Network. It was also the network's very first soap opera in a primetime slot. Launched in 1980, the series received the attention of thousands of Filipinos—making it one of the most popular and well-loved drama series of all time. The series ended because of Julie Vega's sudden death, resulting in the serial having incomplete storyline. Shortly after Julie's death, reruns were aired from the beginning of the series, its final episode being in 1986. It was replaced by Mirasol del Cielo.

In 2013, GMA Network's chief competitor, ABS-CBN remade Anna Liza after the rights of the said drama series was bought from its original director, Gil C. Soriano. Andrea Brillantes played the lead role.

Plot

This is a heart-warming tale of a girl named Anna Liza, who has an immense capacity to touch and change the lives of everyone who crosses her path. She is poor and has suffered abuse but always stay positive throughout her struggles and trials, and is always civil and caring towards others even when she is tired, sad and in pain.
