Anne

Anne, alternatively spelled Ann, is a form of the Latin female given name Anna. This in turn is a representation of the Hebrew Hannah, the name of the mother of the prophet Samuel. Anne is a common name in France.

It is sometimes used as a male name in the Netherlands (for example Anne de Vries). It has also been used for males in France (Anne de Montmorency) and Scotland (Lord Anne Hamilton).

  • Kennedy Town Station

Kennedy Town is the western terminus of the Island Line. The station serves the Kennedy Town area on the northwestern end of Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong.

    Planning

When the station first appeared in Hong Kong Mass Transit: Further Studies in 1970, it was simply known as Kennedy (Chinese: 堅尼地). It was to be built as part of the Island Line in the 1980s, but construction of the line did not commence westwards beyond Sheung Wan, citing inadequate passengers and technical difficulties by contractors.

Under the latest proposal as of June 2005, Kennedy Town would be served by West Island Line as an extension of the Island Line, a heavy rail system, instead of being served by a medium capacity rail shared by commuters from Southern District, after pressure from local community groups.

    Construction

The station was designed by TFP Farrells. The contract to construct the station and overrun tunnel was awarded to Gammon Construction (half owned by Balfour Beatty) for HK$1.34 billion. The overrun tunnel is 650 metres in length. Construction commenced in 2010 and was completed in 2014. Demolition of the swimming pool, which occupied the bulk of the station site, was underway by 2011. The re-provisioning contract for the new Kennedy Town Swimming Pool was awarded to Paul Y. Construction Company Ltd in July 2009 and was finished in 2011 near the Kennedy Town seafront.

    Planet Of Pity

    by: Union Youth

    I'm the planet of pity
    I'm a screaming mad dog
Tried to get out of the setting
But I won't get stepping out
    Got a hang over
    God I'm hangin' around
    Awake not awake
I lie down on the ground
    Don't you know
I don't speak to no one
    Cause no one is good
    I speak to no one
But you You made me down
I met a boy named Jonas
He called a whale his friend
    Kill the whale
    His only friend
And your soul will awake in hell
    Bring me down
    Die alone
    Breed the breeders
Cocaine dealers rule our lives alone
    Don't you know
I don't speak to no one cause'
    no one is good
    I speak to no one
But you You made me down
    She's my ground
If you want to leave me You
    should try
    Eat cow
Come and push me on the ground
    Eat cow
    You like it bloody
    Eat cow
Come and push me on the ground
    Eat cow
    You gotta' push it
    You gotta' push it
