Anim-X

Anim-X was the name of a fictional video game developer created by Electronic Arts as part of the alternate reality game Majestic.

Anim-X is officially credited to this day as the creator of Majestic, although in reality EA developed the game entirely. Anim-X was represented In Majestic promotional videos by actors playing the company's two (fictional) lead developers, "Brian Cale" and "Mike Griffin."

The story of the game begins with Cale's death and the destruction of the Anim-X offices. Players then received an email from EA regarding the official shutdown of Majestic's servers. Of course, the shutdown is only part of the game's fictional storyline and the game progresses, with players helping the surviving Anim-X employees to unravel the conspiracies surrounding the game.

Anime

Anime (Japanese: アニメ, [anime]) is Japanese hand-drawn or computer animation. The word is the abbreviated pronunciation of "animation" in Japanese, where this term references all animation without regards to the nation of origin. Outside Japan however, anime is used to refer specifically to animation from Japan or as a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes. Arguably, the stylization approach to the meaning may open up the possibility of anime produced in countries other than Japan. For simplicity, many Westerners strictly view anime as an animation product from Japan. Some scholars suggest defining anime as specifically or quintessentially Japanese may be related to a new form of orientalism.

The earliest commercial Japanese animation dates to 1917, and production of anime works in Japan has since continued to increase steadily. The characteristic anime art style emerged in the 1960s with the works of Osamu Tezuka and spread internationally in the late twentieth century, developing a large domestic and international audience. Anime is distributed theatrically, by television broadcasts, directly to home media, and over the Internet. It is classified into numerous genres targeting diverse broad and niche audiences.

Hymenaea courbaril

Hymenaea courbaril, the courbaril, is a tree common to the Caribbean, Central, and South America. It is a hardwood that is used for furniture, flooring and decorative purposes. Its hard pods have an edible dry pulp around the seeds. Its sap, known as animé, is utilized in perfumes and varnishes.

H. courbaril is also commonly known as the locust, specifically the West Indian locust. It is also known as the Brazilian copal and the amami-gum.

Although is sometimes referred to as Brazilian cherry or South American cherry, it is not a cherry tree but a legume belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is also known as stinking toe, old man's toe, or stinktoe because of the unpleasant odor of the edible pulp inside its seed pods.

Fruits

The fruit were a major food for the indigenous population. The smell is not considered unpleasant by those who eat it. The pulp inside the hard shell appears like miniature soluble fibers that dissolve easily in water or milk, which it thickens. Some like to add sugar for more sweetness, and if eaten raw it can tend to stick in the mouth like dry dust.
