In Charles M. Schulz's comic strip Peanuts, Snoopy was often stated to have seven siblings. Five appeared at various times in the strip: four brothers, Andy, Marbles, Olaf, and Spike; and one sister, Belle. The two others were never mentioned by name in the comic strip. According to the 1991 TV special Snoopy's Reunion, their names are Molly and Rover; however, their appearance is not considered canonical in the comic strip. In the June 6, 1959 comic strip, following the birth of Charlie Brown's sister Sally, Snoopy remarks that he has no brothers or sisters, and is an "only dog." However, in a March 18, 1971 strip, Snoopy writes in his autobiography: "I was born one bright Spring morning at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. I was one of eight puppies."
Their mother is called Missy, but has appeared only once in Peanuts, on July 26, 1996. A t-shirt that was sold for several years at Target and other stores shows Spike, Andy, Snoopy, Marbles and Olaf in a parody of the famous dogs playing poker print, despite much advertising copy which misidentified the characters.
American Horror Story is an American horror television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Described as an anthology series, each season is conceived as a self-contained miniseries, following a disparate set of characters, settings, and a storyline with its own beginning, middle, and end. However, Murphy has stated that all of the seasons are and will be connected by the end of the series.
The first season, subtitled Murder House, takes place during 2011 in Los Angeles, California and centers on a family that moves into a house haunted by its deceased former occupants. The second season, subtitled Asylum, takes place during 1964 in Massachusetts and follows the stories of the inmates and staff of an institution for the criminally insane. The third season, subtitled Coven, takes place during 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana and follows a coven of witches who face off against those who wish to destroy them. The fourth season, subtitled Freak Show, takes place during 1952 in Jupiter, Florida and focuses on one of the last remaining freak shows in America and its struggle to survive. The fifth season, subtitled Hotel, takes place during 2015 in Los Angeles, California and centers on the unusual occurrences and people of a mysterious and outdated hotel.
Bug! is a 3D rendered platform/adventure video game developed by Realtime Associates for the Sega Saturn. Released in 1995 as a launch game for the Saturn in North America, it was one of the earliest 3D platform games. It was later localized to Europe and Japan, then ported to Windows 3.x and Windows 95 on August 31, 1996 by Beam Software, on one CD that contains both versions of the game.
A sequel was released in 1996, Bug Too!.
The background plot centers around the title character, Bug!, a famous Hollywood star hoping to make his "biggest break" ever. Players take control shortly after Bug! has signed up a deal for the lead role in an action film in which his girlfriend is kidnapped by Queen Cadavra and must set out to rescue her. The gameplay takes place "on the set" of each scene and cutscenes between levels indicate Bug! moving over from one set to the next.
Bug! was played like a traditional side-scrolling adventure game. In the same fashion as Sonic the Hedgehog , Bug! must jump and stung on the heads of his enemies to defeat them while making his way through large levels and collecting power-ups. What sets Bug! apart is the game's 3D levels, which take the side-view and tweak it. Bug! can walk sidewise up vertical surfaces and even upside down. Each set of levels (ranging from a bright, green grassy area to a deep red, desert level) has a deeply individual look and feel.
Bug is a 2006 American psychological horror film directed by William Friedkin. It stars Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon and Harry Connick, Jr.. The screenplay by Tracy Letts is based on his 1996 play of the same name in which a woman holed up in a rural Oklahoma motel becomes involved with a paranoid man obsessed with conspiracy theories about insects and the government. Bug debuted at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival before being purchased by Lions Gate Films, who released the film the following year in May 2007.
Friedkin and Letts similarly collaborated on the 2011 film Killer Joe.
Agnes White is a waitress at a gay bar living in a run-down motel in rural Oklahoma. Unable to move on from the disappearance of her son some years previously, she engages in drug and alcohol binges with her lesbian friend, R.C. Lately, she has been plagued by silent telephone calls that she believes are being made by her abusive ex-husband, Jerry Goss, who has recently been released from prison.
The Bug River (Polish: Bug [buk] or Western Bug; ; Ukrainian: Західний Буг, Zakhidnyy Buh, Belarusian: Захо́дні Буг, Zakhodni Buh; Russian: Западный Буг, Zapadnyy Bug) is a major European river which flows through three countries with a total length of 830 kilometres (520 mi).
A tributary of the Narew River, the Bug forms part of the border between Ukraine and Poland for 185 kilometres (115 mi), and between Belarus and Poland for 178 kilometres (111 mi), and is the fourth longest Polish river.
The name Bug probably came from the old Germanic word baug-s which meant something winding, genual, bent (what was mentioned about river by Gervase of Tilbury who used latin term armilla). Word Baug took Slavians from the Goths who previously lived in large numbers near the river.
Traditionally the Bug River was also often considered the ethnographical border between Orthodox and Catholic Polish peoples. The Bug was the dividing line between German Wehrmacht and Russian Red Army forces following the 1939 invasion of Poland in the Second World War.
Knifing my way through a diamond mine
Dragging those rocks
From seabed to shoreline
Rubies and sapphires from Emerald bay
Stretching across the milky way
One day... one day...
Prospecting gold and staking my claim
But the only thing I treasure
Is hearing your name
Most everyone dreams diamonds and furs
I dream of love and baby it's yours
One day... one day...
One day you'll realise
You'll see it on her eyes
No room for alibis - one day... one day...
One day you'll realise
Feel me materialise
You'll see you're just a fool to leave me
One day... one day... one day soon baby
They say that your life is an open book
Well I just wrote a chapter so take a look
Can't blame it on fate or destiny
Now that your book... it features me
One day... one day...
One day you'll realise
You'll see it on her eyes
No room for alibis - one day... one day...
One day you'll realise
Feel me materialise
You'll see you're just a fool to leave me
One day... one day... one day soon baby
Hardly a day goes by without me thinking of you
No matter how hard I try you can't escape a dream
Living my life - in the lap of luxury
Living my life - confuse me... confuse me babee
One day you'll realise
You'll see it on her eyes
No room for compromise - one day... one day...
One day you'll realise
Feel me materialise
You'll see you're just a fool to leave me
You can't shake a dream - how I wish that you could
One day you're mine get that understood
Until then each night I shall pray
For a love that lasts forever and...
