Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh (/ˌɑːndrə prəˈdɛʃ/)( pronunciation ) is one of the 29 states of India, situated on the southeastern coast of the country. The state is the eighth largest state in India covering an area of 160,205 km² (61,855 sq mi). As per 2011 census of India, the state is tenth largest by population with 49,386,799 inhabitants. On 2 June 2014, the north-western portion of the state was bifurcated to form a new state of Telangana. In accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, Hyderabad will remain the de jure capital of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states for a period of time not exceeding 10 years. The new river-front proposed capital in Guntur district is Amaravati, which is under the jurisdiction of APCRDA. Economically, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh at today's prices stood at ₹2359.3 billion (US$35 billion) and the Gross State Domestic Product at the prices for the 2013 financial year were ₹4193.91 billion (US$62 billion). The average income of the state rose 62.6% from ₹25,959 (US$380) (2004–05) to ₹42,186 (US$620) (2012-13).

Andhra Pradesh (magazine)

Andhra Pradesh is an official monthly magazine brought by the Department of Information and Public Relations Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh. The magazine was started in 1952. It is published in English, Telugu and Urdu languages from Hyderabad. The magazine provides information regarding developmental activities undertaken by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It also features interesting articles of personality development, humor, career counselling, entertainment, short stories and poetry. There is an online edition of the magazine.

Capital Region (Iceland)

Greater Reykjavík (Icelandic: Höfuðborgarsvæðið, meaning "The Capital Region") is a name used collectively for Reykjavík and six municipalities around it. The area is by far the largest urban area in Iceland. Each municipality has its independent elected council. With a population of 200,852, Greater Reykjavík comprises over 60% of the population of Iceland in an area that is only just over 1% of the total size of the country. Municipal governments cooperate extensively in various fields; for example with waste policy, shared public transport and a joint fire brigade.

Of the seven municipalities in the Greater Reykjavík Area, Reykjavík is by far the most populated with 117,764 inhabitants and Kjósarhreppur is the least populated with 210 inhabitants. Kjósarhreppur is however the largest of the eight with 287.7 km² (111.1 sq mi) of land and Seltjarnarnes is the smallest with 2.3 km² (0.89 sq mi).

Andhra Pradesh Capital Region

Andhra Pradesh Capital Region is the conurbation or metropolitan area covered by Amaravati, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh. The entire region is under the jurisdiction of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority, and covers an area of 8,352.69 km² (3,224.99 sq mi) under 58 mandals, of which 29 are in Krishna district and 29 in Guntur district. The capital region covers 18 mandals fully and 11 mandals partially in Guntur district. In Krishna district, it covers 15 mandals fully and 14 mandals partially under the jurisdiction of APCRDA.
