Amy's Kitchen

Amy's Kitchen is a family-owned, privately held company that manufactures organic and non-GMO convenience and frozen foods. Founded in 1987 by CEO Andy Berliner and Rachel Berliner, and incorporated since 1988, Amy's Kitchen took its name from their then-newborn daughter, Amy. All of Amy's 250+ products are vegetarian and made with organic ingredients. The company makes over 130 gluten-free options.

Company

The company employs over 1,900 people and operates processing plants in Santa Rosa, California and White City, Oregon. A new processing plant is being built in Goshen, New York, and the company is opening a plant in Pocatello, Idaho, in 2014. The corporate headquarters is in Petaluma, California.

Both of the company's co-founders, Andy and Rachel Berliner, had prior experience in the organic food business. Rachel's family had grown and advocated organic vegetables and fruits since the 1950s. Andy was formerly the president and majority shareholder of the Magic Mountain Herb Tea company.

Amy S. Foster

Amy S. Foster (Amy Foster-Gillies),(born July 29, 1973) is a Canadian songwriter and author.

Career

The Nashville Scene describes Foster as a "successful songwriter" whose songs had "hit the No.1 slot" 3 times by 2009.

Best known for her collaborations with Michael Buble, Foster has co-written "Home", "Everything", "Hold On", "Just Haven't Met You Yet", To Be Loved, and "Beautiful Day". Her songs have also been cut by Blake Shelton, Destiny's Child, Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.

Foster claims that when Bublé sent her an early draft of Home her first thoughts were, "Oh, great, complain about being stuck in Europe," nevertheless, she related to the idea of missing someone, and agreed to help write the song.

Her first book, When Autumn Leaves, was published in 2009. The reviewer in Booklist wrote that, "the romantic, mystical setting and appealing characters will delight readers searching for a modern-day fairy tale."

She is the daughter of record producer and songwriter David Foster and BJ Cook.
