Amour (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: अमौर विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Purnia district in the Indian state of Bihar.

1977-2010

In the November 2010 state assembly elections, Saba Zafar of BJP won the Amour assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Abdul Jalil Mastan of Congress. Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Abdul Jalil Mastan of Congress defeated Saba Jafar representing SP in October 2005, contesting as an Independent in February 2005 and representing RJD in 2000. Muzaffar Hussain of SP defeated Abdul Jalil Mastan of Congress in 1995. A. Jalil of Congress defeated Muzaffar Hussain of ICS(SCS). Jalil, Independent, defeated Chandra Sekhar Jha of JP in 1985. M. Moijuddin Munshi of Congress defeated Nazmuddin of Janata Party (Secular – Raj Narain). Chandra Sekhar Jha of JP defeated Md. Moijuddin Munshi of Congress.

Amour (2012 film)

Amour (pronounced: [a.muʁ]; French: "Love") is a 2012 French-language romantic drama film written and directed by the Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke, starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert. The narrative focuses on an elderly couple, Anne and Georges, who are retired music teachers with a daughter who lives abroad. Anne suffers a stroke which paralyses her on the right side of her body. The film is a co-production among the French, German, and Austrian companies Les Films du Losange, X-Filme Creative Pool, and Wega Film.

The film was screened at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d'Or. It won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 85th Academy Awards, and was nominated in four other categories: Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Emmanuelle Riva), Best Original Screenplay (Michael Haneke) and Best Director (Michael Haneke). At the age of 85, Emmanuelle Riva is the oldest nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Secret (Heart song)

"Secret" is a song recorded by American rock band Heart. It was released as the fourth and final single from the band's tenth studio album Brigade.

The track is a rock power ballad which did not meet with much mainstream success, peaking at number sixty-four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number seventy-nine on the UK Singles Chart. As an emotional song, it portrays forbidden love and the tragedy that the situation is. The communication in this power-ballad is often linked to the still on and off relationship Ann maintains with ex-guitarist Roger Fisher.

Easter egg (media)

An Easter egg is an intentional inside joke, hidden message, or feature in an interactive work such as a computer program, video game or DVD menu screen. The name has been said to evoke the idea of a traditional Easter egg hunt.

According to game designer Warren Robinett, this traditional term was coined into the context of media by Atari personnel who were alerted to the presence of a secret message which had been hidden by Robinett in his already widely distributed game, Adventure. Released in 1979, Atari's Adventure contains the first video game Easter egg to have been discovered by its players; the hidden item is the name of the game's programmer, Warren Robinett. Robinett inserted his Easter egg late in the game's development in an attempt to gain some recognition for his work, as Atari then kept its programmers' names secret. In 2004, an earlier Easter egg was found in Video Whizball, a 1978 game for the Fairchild Channel F system, displaying programmer Bradley Reid-Selth's surname.

Hélène (album)

Hélène is a 1989 album by Canadian singer Roch Voisine. The title track "Hélène" is his best sold single ever, reaching number one for nine weeks on the French Singles Chart. Other successful singles from the album include "Pourtant" (#3) and "Avant de partir" (#7), released in 1990 summer.

Two songs were both written and composed by the singer himself. Marc Voisine, his brother, participated in the writing of the last track. The recording and mixing were made at the Victor studio, except for the song "Hélène" (at Intercession studio).

The album debuted at #14 on 3 December 1989 on the SNEP Albums Chart and had a peak at number one for two weeks almost eleven months after. It totaled 40 weeks in the top ten and 113 weeks in the top 50. In 1991, the album achieved Diamond status for over one million copies sold. In Norway, the album entered the albums chart on February 1990 and stayed for six weeks in the top 20, with a peak at number nine.

Hélène (drama)

Hélène is a drame in four acts and five tableaux of 1891, with French words by Paul Delair and incidental music by André Messager.

The story, found by the author in the fait divers of a newspaper concerns a child, Hélène, who, learning that her father has been murdered by his mother, swears vengeance; there are shades of Hamlet. Starting with a first act march for returning soldiers, the authors of the Annales praised Messager’s incidental music, despite echos of Gounod, Thomas and particularly Bizet and his L'Arlésienne.

The play was first performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville on 15 September 1891, running for only 16 performances. The cast included Brandès in the title role, Adolphe Candé, Marie Sammary, Laroche and André Michel, and the orchestra was conducted by Gabriel-Marie.
