The new edit is available on YouTube and is also circulating on British music television channels.

Amazing (Vanessa Amorosi song)

"Amazing" is the second single from Vanessa Amorosi's unreleased fifth studio album V. It was digitally released on 9 September 2011.

Amorosi said that "Amazing" is an empowering and feelgood kind of track, and allows her to keep loved ones top of mind. "The story behind it is I have lost a few family members over the last five years through cancer but you still carry them with you."

The accompanying video for "Amazing" was filmed at Half Moon Bay in Victoria (Australia) and was directed and produced by Stuart Gosling.

On 29 September 2011, Vanessa Amorosi performed with Simple Plan the song "Jet Lag" and her own song "Amazing" live on the AFL Grand Final Footy Show, which was held at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. On 6 October 2011, Amorosi appeared on Sunrise and on The Morning Show to perform the song. For the Today Network she also did an acoustic version of her song "Amazing" and a cover of Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic". She also performed the song live on the X Factor results show on 11 October 2011.

Amazing (Kanye West song)

"Amazing" is a song by American hip hop artist Kanye West, released as the third single for his fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak. Co-produced with Victor Alexander, the song features hip hop artist Young Jeezy and contains additional vocals provided by Mr Hudson and Tony Williams. This song was used in the NBA during the 2009 Playoffs, and is featured on the NBA 2K10 and NBA 2K13 soundtracks. UFC Fighter Frank Mir walks out to this song before his fights. The song was nominated at the 52nd Grammy Awards in the Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group category. The song also marks the second collaboration with Kanye West and Young Jeezy, the first being Young Jeezy's 2008 single "Put On". The song also marks the two rappers' second time to do a song to be nominated for a Grammy award.

Background and release

Co-writer Jeff Bhasker discussed the song's conception: "That was actually the first song [we did for the album.] I brought the beat and the music. I started the idea and [West] was like, 'That's hot.' [...] So I brought that music and he brought his editorial to it and then wrote the melody, and said we're gonna get Jeezy on it. We were searching for sort of a tribal-ish drum sounds and that just came out. It's a very simple and dark sounding piano figure.

APT (film)

APT (Hangul: 아파트; RR: Apateu) (released as 9:56 in Singapore) is a 2006 South Korean horror film, directed, produced, and written by Ahn Byeong-ki and starring Ko So-young. It is based on a comic by Kang Full. The name APT is from the English word meaning apartment. The film had 644,893 admissions nationwide.

Plot

Se-jin Oh, a lonely young career woman, lives in a high-rise apartment building in a Seoul suburb, and sometimes watches her neighbors through binoculars for amusement. Taking the subway home one night near Christmas, a woman dressed in red throws herself in front of the train, attempting to drag Se-jin with her. The dead woman haunts Se-jin, though she doesn't know it. However, she does notice that the lights across the way flicker mysteriously at exactly 9:56pm every night—often accompanied by an apparent suicide.

Se-jin is befriended by Yoo-yeon, a wheelchair-bound woman abused by her caregivers, several of whom are among the victims. Yoo-yeon gives Se-jin a puzzle cube, noting it can help to forget the pain for a while. Se-jin attempts to influence her neighbors, begging them to not turn their lights off before 10 pm. This puts her in conflict with police detective Yang, who learns that many of the victims have identical keys to an apartment. The apartment that matches the key, 704, is Yoo-yeon's -- but Yang finds the resident is Shin Jung-soo, a social recluse with long black hair, who attacks Yang, but denies having committed any murders.

APT

APT is an acronym. It may refer to:

Computing and software

  • APT (programming language) (Automatically Programmed Tool), a high-level computer programming language
  • Advanced Packaging Tool, Debian's high-level package management system, also used by other Linux-based operating systems
  • Almost Plain Text, or Doxia, a wiki-like syntax used mainly by Apache Maven
  • Annotation processing tool, a utility for executing annotation processors in the Java programming language
  • Advanced persistent threat, a set of stealthy and continuous computer hacking processes
  • Applied Predictive Technologies, a statistical business analysis software company
  • APT (former UK mainframe software vendor) (Advanced Programming Techniques Ltd.) Products including: OLIVER, SIMON and Command CICS.
  • Entertainment and media companies

  • Alabama Public Television, a network of PBS affiliates in Alabama, U.S.A.
  • American Players Theatre, a classical theater located in Spring Green, Wisconsin
  • American Public Television, a television program provider in the United States
  • Advanced Packaging Tool

The Advanced Package Tool, or APT, is a free software user interface that works with core libraries to handle the installation and removal of software on the Debian Linux distribution and its variants. APT simplifies the process of managing software on Unix-like computer systems by automating the retrieval, configuration and installation of software packages, either from precompiled files or by compiling source code.

APT was originally designed as a front-end for dpkg to work with Debian's .deb packages, but it has since been modified to also work with the RPM Package Manager system via APT-RPM. The Fink project has ported APT to Mac OS X for some of its own package management tasks, and APT is also available in OpenSolaris.

    Usage

There has been an apt program since version 1.0; apt is a collection of tools distributed in a package named apt. A significant part of apt is defined in a C++ library of functions; apt also includes command-line programs for dealing with packages, which use the library. Three such programs are apt, apt-get and apt-cache. They are commonly used in examples of apt because they are simple and ubiquitous. The apt package is of "important" priority in all current Debian releases, and is therefore installed in a default Debian installation. Apt can be considered a front-end to dpkg, friendlier than the older dselect front-end. While dpkg performs actions on individual packages, apt tools manage relations (especially dependencies) between them, as well as sourcing and management of higher-level versioning decisions (release tracking and version pinning).
