Alépé

Alépé is a town in south-eastern Ivory Coast. It is a sub-prefecture of and the seat of Alépé Department in La Mé Region, Lagunes District. Alépé is also a commune.

Alıp

Alıp (Alp) is a Turkic term referring for

  • Title of nobles serving in military of Göktürk and Khazar qaghanates, Volga Bulgaria and some other states.
  • An epic hero or a giant in Turkic folklore, usually noble. In some cases this term could be added to name of real person, such as Almış, Alp Ilutuer, Alp Arslan, Alpamysh. Alıp could be found in the names of some places; in Tatar and Chuvash folklore Alıp batır create hills, shaking out a ground from his bask shoe ("Alıp mountains").

    Alex Puodziukas known by his stage name Al-P, is a Canadian musician, record producer and recording engineer, best known for being part of the electronic music duo MSTRKRFT along with Jesse F. Keeler. Al-P was producer for Black Cat 13, Death from Above 1979's album You're a Woman, I'm a Machine and The Sick Lipstick's Sting Sting Sting.

    Well before MSTRKRFT, Al-P and Keeler collaborated in the late 1990s, then lived in different cities as Al-P moved to New York and worked at the studios Sound on Sound and Chung King, and did some recording for Jay-Z and Wyclef Jean. Al-P was later in the electronic pop group Girlsareshort, with friend Daniel Zabawa. They released two albums, Contactkiss in 2002 and Earlynorthamerican in 2003, before disbanding.
