Always Love

"Always Love" is a song by Japanese pop group, MAX. It was released as their 19th single and was used as the ending theme to the NTV program, Sports Max. It is the last of five singles leading up to their fourth original studio album, Emotional History (2001). The song was written by Hiromi Mori who has worked with MAX on their singles, "Shinin'on-Shinin'love and "Love Impact." It was composed by T2ya and is his first production with the group.

Music video

The music video was filmed on January 23, 2001 at Aoyama no Bou Studio. It focused almost entirely on the group's dance choreography with solo scenes of each member in various costumes.

The Weight Is a Gift

The Weight Is a Gift is the fourth album by the alternative rock band, Nada Surf. It was released on Barsuk in 2005.

Recording

The album was produced by Death Cab for Cutie guitarist Chris Walla and mixed by Geoff Sanoff. The album features vocals from the Long Winters frontman John Roderick. The album was recorded in two sessions at Hall of Justice in Seattle and Tiny Telephone in San Francisco.

Release

The album was met with moderate success and favorable reviews. Critic Marc Hogan of Pitchfork wrote that the album is "another often-compelling set of melancholic post-Coldplay guitar-pop, made grittily optimistic by the tribulations of post-hipster existence".

According to NPR's program, All Songs Considered, the band says the album "answers questions of lust and deception, greed and love, joy and regret and the rites of passage you weren't quite ready to pass through." In another interview, Matthew Caws described the imagery in the song "Your Legs Grow", saying: "When a challenge presents itself to you, it is so easy to have a kind of panicky feeling where you think, 'Oh my god – if that happened to me, I would die. If I have to stay in this job I’ll die, or if I lose that person, I’ll die.' And once in a while, those things you think will kill you happen. You know, someone breaks up with you, or one of your parents gets really sick or something. But you make it through anything, really. And the image that was in my mind was that if you were out at sea, and you were freezing and thought you were going to drown – somehow we have the capacity to get over anything and the image that I had in mind was that your legs would just grow down to the bottom and you’d walk out. We are capable of rescuing ourselves. I was holding onto that thought or being hopeful about it, since I was going through a hard time in a relationship."

Space-A travel

Space-A travel is a means by which members of United States Uniformed Services (United States Military, reservists and retirees, United States Department of Defense civilian personnel (under certain circumstances), and these groups' family members, are permitted to travel on aircraft under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Defense when excess capability allows.

Background

Space available travel is a privilege that derives, in part, from United States Code, title 10, section 4744, which states, "officers and members of the Military Departments, and their families, when space is available, may be transported on vessels operated by any military transport agency of the Department of Defense". Space available travel is defined as "travel aboard DoD owned or controlled aircraft and occurs when aircraft are not fully booked with passengers traveling under orders".

It is a privilege offered to United States Uniformed Services members. Retired members are given the privilege in recognition of their career and because they are eligible for recall to active duty. The criteria for extending the privilege to other categories of passengers is their support to the mission being performed by Uniformed Services members and to the enhancement of active duty Service members' quality of life.
