Alshermond Glendale ("Al") Singleton (born August 7, 1975) is a former American college and professional football player who was a linebacker for ten seasons in the National Football League during the 1990s and early 2000s. Glendale played college football at Temple University. He was drafted in the fourth round (128 overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys.
Singleton was born in Newark, New Jersey and attended Irvington High School.
He played college football at Temple University, where he was a starter (39 out of 41 games) at inside and outside linebacker. He finished as the school's third all-time tackle leader (390 tackles).
Singleton was selected in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During the first years of his career he was used mainly as a backup strongside linebacker and special teams player.
