Allison Williams (reporter)

Allison Williams (born January 18, 1984) is a sportscaster with ESPN and former host for select pregame/postgame shows for Marlins Live. She did field reporting with play-by-play man Rich Waltz and color commentator Tommy Hutton.

Broadcasting career

Williams worked for Marlins Live for the Miami Marlins as a sideline reporter and host for pregame and postgame shows. She previously also did reporting for the Florida Panthers on home games with play-by-play man Steve Goldstein, Color Analyst Bill Lindsay, and Sportscaster Frank Forte. In addition, Williams also does sideline reporting for telecasts on college football and basketball for the ESPN Networks.

Other work

In addition to college football, college basketball, the Panthers, and the Marlins, Williams has hosted shows such as Miccosukee Sports Rap, The Jason Taylor Celebity Golf Special, Ultimate Fan Experience, and other shows.

Personal life

Williams grew up in Michigan and graduated from the University of Miami in 2006 with a degree in broadcast journalism. In her spare time, she enjoys running, going to the beach, doing crosswords, kickboxing, playing softball, and spend time with her family and friends. She loves all sports, but her favorite sports are football, basketball, baseball, and hockey. But she also does scuba diving.

Allison Williams (actress)

Allison Williams (born April 13, 1988) is an American actress, comedian, and singer. She is best known for her role as Marnie Michaels on the HBO comedy-drama series Girls.

Early life

Williams was born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut, and is the daughter of former NBC Nightly News anchor and managing editor Brian Williams and Jane Gillan Stoddard, a TV producer. She graduated from Yale University in 2010. While at Yale, Williams was a member of the improv comedy troupe Just Add Water for four years, as well as being a part of the YouTube series College Musical, and was inducted by St. Elmo.

Career

In 2010, Williams performed a mashup of "Nature Boy" set to RJD2's "A Beautiful Mine", the theme song for the television series Mad Men. The YouTube video of the performance received widespread praise on the Internet, and convinced Judd Apatow that she should be given a part in the HBO series Girls. She was cast shortly after and credited her experience at Just Add Water for passing the audition.Girls premiered on April 15, 2012.

Allison Williams (Miss West Virginia)

Allison Williams (born c. 1981) is a beauty queen from Morgantown, West Virginia who was crowned Miss West Virginia 2003. She competed in the Miss America 2004 pageant but was unplaced.

Sex tape lawsuit

Williams sued 59 defendants in countries varying from the United States, Australia, South Africa and The Netherlands for posting a sex video allegedly showing her in the back of a WVEC news van. She first discovered the video in August 2004 during her first week at law school. Her spokeswoman Lavinia Mann Cummings said, "These Web sites allege that the woman in the video is Miss West Virginia, but it's not", adding, "Some sites even had her pageant picture next to the video.

Williams won a $7.2 million verdict against nine Internet companies and individuals who tried to sell pornographic videos they falsely claimed featured her.
