All the Plans is Starsailor's fourth studio album. It was announced on 16 October 2008 and was released on 9 March 2009. The album was released via iTunes in the US on 28 April 2009.
Initially named All the Plans or Boy in Waiting, the album title was revealed on 16 October 2008. This release is Starsailor's first album with Virgin Records. Starsailor worked with Steve Osborne, who previously worked with the band on their debut album Love Is Here, and with engineer Dan Austin, who was also working with Doves on their fourth studio album Kingdom of Rust at the same time. Most of the information about the release of the album has been taken from the messages written by James Walsh on the band's MySpace page.
The band recorded the album in Henley-on-Thames, and Richard Warren worked with the band in the studio. It was announced in February 2008 by James Walsh that the album was finished and that the band was mixing the album in a studio in Chiswick called "The Sofa Lounge." They were simultaneously "putting the finishing touches to a busy summer schedule."
"All the Plans" is a song by the English alternative rock band, Starsailor. The song was officially announced as the second single of Starsailor's album of the same title on April 16, 2009 and was released on June 22, 2009. It was initially known as "All the plans we made".
On April 26, 2008 The Sun announced that Ronnie Wood had recorded for a week with Starsailor. The band later confirmed the participation of Rolling Stone's guitarist in the recording of the track.
NME wrote that Starsailor asked Wood if he'd be up for playing some guitar on the record, and at the time he was busy promoting the film Shine A Light so there were a couple of months where he just wasn't available to do it." However, Walsh got an early morning call confirming Wood could play on the tune.
The single gained media attention before the released of All the Plans due to the collaboration of Ronnie Wood in the recording of the song. The single has received positive reviews from the critics.
You were on the left with anger in your heart
I was on the right too paranoid to start
We are much too young for anything to break
And all the plans we make
And all the plans we made
Let's get into the season where we can be ourselves
No rhyme or any reason
No stories left to tell
We are much too young for anything to break
And all the plans we make
And all the plans we made
I warned you not to go on
Cherishing your broken heart
So put that last drink down and
Find a better place to start
I want to win your heart
I want to win your heart
I warned you not to go on
Cherishing your broken heart
So put that last drink down and
Find a better place to start
You were on the left
And I was on the right
No way to recompense
What went down last night
We are much too young for anything to break
And all the plans we make
And all the plans we made
And all the plans we make
