All Star Comics is a 1940s comic book series from All-American Publications, one of the two companies that merged with National Periodical Publications to form the modern-day DC Comics. With the exception of the first two issues, All Star Comics told stories about the adventures of the Justice Society of America. The series is notable for its introduction of the Justice Society of America, the first team of superheroes, and the introduction of Wonder Woman.
While the series cover logo trademark reads All Star Comics, its copyrighted title as indicated by postal stamp is All-Star Comics.
The original concept for All Star Comics was an anthology title containing the most popular series from the other anthology titles published by both All-American Publications and National Comics. All Star Comics #1 (cover dated Summer 1940) primarily contained superhero stories including All-American's Golden Age Flash, Hawkman, Ultra-Man, National's Hour-Man, the Spectre and the Sandman, the adventure strip "Biff Bronson" and the comedy-adventure "Red, White, and Blue." The title premiered with a Summer 1940 cover date.
All Star Comics 8 is the 8th issue of the comic series All Star Comics, dated December 1941. Although the main story featured the Justice Society of America in "Two New Members Win Their Spurs", featuring Doctor Mid-Nite and Starman joining in an incident involving an evil scientist's insanity serum, it is more well known for having the first appearance of Wonder Woman in a back-up story.
Doctor Mid-Nite alerts the Justice Society of America about an evil scientist, Doctor Elba, who is using an insanity serum. The JSA members each set off to foil crimes along with Doctor Mid-Nite and Starman and discover they are caused by people who have been administered the serum, which drives them insane and gives them superhuman strength. They defeat all the villains. Johnny Thunder meets the scientist in his mansion, but the Thunderbolt transports the Society there after they finish their cases. When he throws the light switch, Mid-Nite stops the scientist from injecting Johnny, and instead Elba is hit in the arm, and throws himself from the window. Doctor Mid-Nite and Starman are then made members, and Hooty, Mid-Nite's owl, is made the mascot.
Star Comics was an imprint of Marvel Comics that began in 1984 and continued to publish comic books until 1991. Titles published by the imprint were aimed at child readers and were often adaptations of children's television series, animated series or toys. Several of the original titles consciously emulated the house writing and visual style of then recently defunct Harvey Comics titles such as Richie Rich.
The imprint's signature titles were Peter Porker, The Spectacular Spider-Ham and Heathcliff, its longest running title. Artists working on the line include Warren Kremer and Howard Post.
For a number of years the industry had benefited from an "age stepladder" whereby comics readers could ascend naturally from children's titles by Gold Key Comics (Disney and Looney Tunes licensee) and Harvey, upward to the Archie Comics titles for preteens, and finally graduating to the Marvel and DC titles for teens and older readers or to independent comics. So when Gold Key and other children's comic publishers went out of business, both Marvel and DC began exploring ways to fill that missing step on the reading ladder.

All-star (also stylized as All-Star) is a term designating an individual as having a high level of performance in their field. Originating in sports, it has since drifted into vernacular and been borrowed heavily by the entertainment industry. It can also be used for a group of individuals, who are popular in certain areas.
"All-star" as a sports term refers to individual players named to an "all-star" roster or team representing the top performers during and before the end of a season in a given sport, or to a list of top participants who played in individual sports such as golf and bowling. Events limited to such honorees are referred to as "all-star games" or events.
In American team sports the premier all-star games are the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, NBA All-Star Game, Pro Bowl, NHL All-Star Game, and the MLS All-Star Game. Many all-star teams, such as collegiate "all-conference" and All-America squads, are recognitions of performance only, without the connotation of those selected ever being teammates in a game.
All-star is an entertainment industry (sports, film, music) term.
All-star (or All Star) may also refer to:

Since then, he also learned to play drums, guitar, keyboards and the MPC. Later, he and his partner Kory, signed a record deal with Venus Brown and Buddah Brown Ent, and released a mixtape, titled Raw & Bangin Mixtape Vol 2. The duo also made guest appearances on albums by other artists such as Sa-Ra Creative Partners and Black Milk, where they sang on the song "U" on the latter's 2007 recording Popular Demand. However, that deal began to fall through, causing Dolla Sign and Kory to call it quits with each other.
Estranho seria se eu não me apaixonasse por você
O sal viria doce para os novos lábios
Colombo procurou as Índias, mas a Terra avisto em você
O som que eu ouço são as gírias do seu vocabulário
Estranho é gostar tanto do seu All Star azul
Estranho é pensar que o Bairro das Laranjeiras
Satisfeito, sorri quando chego ali
E entro no elevador
Aperto o 12 que é o seu andar
Não vejo a hora de te encontrar
E continuar aquela conversa
Que não terminamos ontem
Ficou pra hoje
