All in the Mind may refer to:
All in the Mind is a weekly ABC Radio National program, hosted by Australian science journalist Natasha Mitchell, exploring the mind, brain and behaviour.
The radio program has won a number of awards, including the Grand Medal at the 2008 New York Radio festival for a series of shows entitled The Brain Under Siege. Host Natasha Mitchell was an MIT Knight Science Journalism Fellow in 2005-6.
"All in the Mind" is a song by English rock band The Verve and was released as the band's first single in the United Kingdom on 9 March 1992 (see 1992 in British music).
On its release, the song immediately topped the independent charts, as did their following two singles, "She's a Superstar" and "Gravity Grave". The song, however, made very little headway into the mainstream charts. Just like the early Verve performances, the music had huge psychedelic connections and references in the lyrics, such as "I was born to fly, fly, pretty high."
The video for the song was recorded in the flat of its director, Miles Aldridge, in London E1. The song shows the band playing in a dark, hazy room, with a dark blue light in the background. Various band members are seen pushed up against a bare wall.
So I got in the car
We drove for a mile
I didn't even learn her name
She said: "You've got the money and I've got the time"
Five years later on
She became my lover
Taught me everything I know
She said: "You were born to fly my son"
I said: "Hey! I already know"
Because it's all inside
Because it's all inside
I was born to fly, fly pretty high
Five years later on
She became my father
Taught me everything I know
She said: "You were born to burn my love"
I said: "Hey! I already know"
Because it's all inside,Because it's all inside
I was born to fly,fly pretty hight
Because it's all inside,Because it's all inside
I was born to fly,fly pretty hight
Chorus x2
So waste your time
On people who don't know which way to go
They'll never said you were, never said
You were up in the sky
Because it's all in the mind
Just get in the car
Turn out the light
Don't care who you are
You could be a star
Or you could be a fool
Don't care what I find
