The Fades are a British indie rock band from London comprising Dave Lightfoot on guitar and vocals, James Lightfoot on bass, Jonathan "Jonny" Barnard on guitar and Alastair "Flash" Thorpe on drums.
The Fades were formed 2000 by Twickenham based brothers James and Dave Lightfoot as Petrol Bomb, later Molotov Cocktail. They became The Fades when guitarist Jonny Barnard joined the band in early 2002 after a Molotov Cocktail demo was featured on Steve Lamacq's show on BBC Radio 1. The band's first releases were the singles "You Say" and "Life Support" in 2003. Both songs have been played by Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe. "You Say" was playlisted at XFM and a live session was recorded with Claire Sturgess.
The Fades released the EP "Social Misfits" in 2004 with eight songs and they were touring with Art Brut. The next single "Caca" was supported by Marc Riley, he played it on Mint and invited the band April 2006 to play a session for Rocket Science. In early summer 2006 drummer Graham Best left the band. He was replaced by Alastair "Flash" Thorpe. With the new drummer they went on tour in Ireland and Northern Ireland in June, which include a session for BBC Radio Foyle.
Miro may refer to:
Miroč (Serbian Cyrillic: Мироч) is a mountain in eastern Serbia, between the towns of Donji Milanovac and Tekija. Its highest peak Štrbac has an elevation of 768 meters (2,520 ft) above sea level. Along with Liškovac, it is part of the Iron Gate gorge of the Danube river. It is located in the Đerdap national park.
In Serbian folklore, it is considered a mystical mountain with magic herbs to heal all wounds of haiduks, and the specific above of Vila Ravijojla (cf. the article on Vilas), the blood sister of Prince Marko.
Miro is a game manufacturer in France. Its most notable publication is "La Conquete du Monde," the first version of Risk ever produced.
Miro was founded in Paris in 1936 by Fred Mirowitch and Leo J. Frankenthal. The company changed hands in 1950, after which it became the producer of French-language versions of Waddington Ltd. and Parker Brothers games. In 1980, Miro Company merged with Parker Brothers France and Meccano France under the name Miro-Meccano. In 1986, the company was acquired by Hasbro.
When I least expect it
The unexpected
When I wasn't looking
When I had no hope
When I stop believing
When I lost my place
It was there I found you
And I found my way
All roads lead to you
No matter where I am
I know that you are standing by my side
All roads lead to you
No matter where I've been
I know you've aways been my guiding light
And how'd you know that
I'd be here with you (here with you)
How did you see that nothing could replace ya (nothing's gonna replace you)
Cuz no matter where I turn
Yes it all came back to you (you)
And no matter what may come
I know that you'lll be here to see me through
All roads lead to you
No matter where I am
I know that you'll be standing by my side
All roads lead to you
No matter where I've been
I know that you have been my guiding light
I search to find
High and low
For something that was missing
It took some time
For me to see
Just where my life was leading
No looking back
A new beginning's waiting
And now I know
I never ever have to be alone
All roads lead to you
No matter where I am
I know that you'll be standing by my side
All roads lead to you
No matter where I've been
I know you've always been my guiding light
All roads lead to you
All roads
I know you've always been by my side
All roads lead to you (i know)
I know it
I know you've always been my guiding light
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
