Myth ISBN 1-84386-267-0 is a dark erotic fantasy, the first novel by English writer R. J. Dent. It was published by Vanguard/Pegasus in July 2006.

Plot synopsis

The Greek island is beautiful and the holiday idyllic… until James Barratt and his girlfriend Penny Ward are told about the chimera, a savage creature that should only exist in Greek mythology, but somehow is still alive in the foothills of the island. Sceptical, but curious, they set off for the hills, where they come face to face with a monstrous secret and find themselves in a desperate fight for survival against an enemy of inconceivable ferocity – an unholy trinity with multiple hearts of darkness that will not stop until they are both destroyed.

Alive! (Carmen McRae album)

Alive! is a 1994 live album by the American jazz singer Carmen McRae recorded at The Village Gate in New York City in 1965. The album consists of two albums originally released on Mainstream Records, Woman Talk (1965), and "Live" and Wailing (1973).

Reception

Writing for AllMusic, Scott Yanow stated that "The flute and bongos make the music seem a bit dated, as does the inclusion of some forgettable show tunes from the era...McRae is in prime voice and sounds best on some Billie Holiday-associated tunes, but the set is mostly for her fans rather than general collectors."

Alive! (Grant Green album)

Alive! is an album by American jazz guitarist Grant Green featuring a performance recorded at the Cliche Lounge in Newark, New Jersey in 1970 and released on the Blue Note label. The album was Green's first official live recording. The CD reissue added three bonus tracks.

Reception

The Allmusic review by Steve Huey awarded the album 4 stars and stated "Alive! is the hardest funk LP Grant Green recorded during the later phase of his career... this is the most convincing and consistent Green had been as a funkster and, while nearly all of his albums from the early '70s feature at least some worthwhile material for acid jazz and beat-sampling junkies, Alive! is probably the best place to start".

Alive (Ed Kowalczyk album)

Alive is the debut solo album by former Live lead singer Ed Kowalczyk.

History

Kowalczyk entered the studio in early 2010 to record material that he began writing in 2008. He wrote songs for Alive with an acoustic guitar, as he had when he wrote for Live.

The lyrics on Alive feature much religious and spiritual imagery. Kowalczyk's acknowledgement of his faith is much more explicit on this album than it was on his work with Live. The album entered Billboard's Christian albums chart at number six.

The album entered the charts in the Netherlands, debuting at number four on the Dutch albums chart. It has also charted in the United States, Belgium, and Australia.
