Alexander Huber (born December 1968 in Trostberg, Bavaria), is a German climber and mountaineer. He lives in Bavaria with his wife and children. He has a Masters in Physics.
When they were still young Alexander Huber and his brother Thomas Huber were taken into the mountains by their father, Thomas Huber, himself a noted climber known for early fast ascents of now classic climbs. Together with his brother Thomas, he became interested in extreme alpine climbing.
Alexander was state-certified mountain and skiing guide in 1992. He studied physical meteorology, became a professional mountaineer in 1997, and was one of the most successful climbers and mountaineers of the 2000s. While being an all-round climber, Alexander is most famous for his bold free ascents of big walls, and his expeditions in the Karakoram, Antarctica, and Greenland.
Alexander Huber (Cyrillic: Александр Хубер, romanized: Aleksandr Khuber; born 25 February 1985 in Leninabad, former Soviet Union, today Tajikistan) is a German football player who currently plays for FSV Frankfurt. He plays as right defender or in the midfield.
Huber was born in Leninabad of the Soviet Union and came in 1989 to Neustadt by Marburg in Germany. He began his career in 1993 at his home town club VfL Neustadt. In summer 1999, he was scouted by Eintracht Frankfurt where promoted in 2004 to the first team. After seven games in his first season in the 2. Bundesliga, he was loaned out in January 2006 to Regionalliga West/Südwest club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. He played six matches for Hoffenheim until the end of the season. He returned in summer 2006 to Eintracht Frankfurt and played until December 2006 for the team before was transferred to Eintracht Braunschweig. After Braunschweig's relegation he was unattached and trained at his old club in Frankfurt until he was signed by the Hamburger SV reserve team. After one year with Hamburger SV II, he signed in summer 2008 for Kickers Offenbach.
