Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent S.A. (French pronunciation: ​[alkatɛl lysɛnt]) was a French global telecommunications equipment company, headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. As of January 2016, the company was controlled by Nokia Corporation.

The company focused on fixed, mobile and converged networking hardware, IP technologies, software and services, with operations in more than 130 countries. It had been named Industry Group Leader for Technology Hardware & Equipment sector in the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices review and listed in the 2014 Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators for the 4th consecutive year. Alcatel-Lucent also owns Bell Laboratories, one of the largest research and development facilities in the communications industry, whose employees have been awarded eight Nobel Prizes and the company holds in excess of 29,000 patents.

Alcatel-Lucent's chief executive officer is Michel Combes and the non-executive chairman of the board is Philippe Camus. Camus joined the company in the third quarter of 2008, alongside Ben Verwaayen as CEO, after Alcatel-Lucent's first CEO Patricia Russo and first chairman Serge Tchuruk resigned. For 2010, the company had revenues of €16 billion and a reported net loss of €334 million. For 2011, revenues were €15 billion, net loss of €1.1 billion. For 2012, revenues were €14.4 billion and net loss of €1.4 billion. After seven consecutive years of negative cash flows, in October 2013 the company announced plans to slash 10,000 employees, or 14% of the total current 72,000 workforce, as a part of a €1 billion cost reduction effort.

Alcatel One Touch 300

The Alcatel 300 is a discontinued, low range mobile phone created by Alcatel and was introduced in early 2000. It weighs 103 g (3.6 oz) and its dimensions are 109 mm × 45 mm × 22 mm (4.29 in × 1.77 in × 0.87 in), 99 cc (6.0 cu in). Its monochrome screen has a maximum resolution of 49x96 pixels and the phone includes a NiMH 650 mAh rechargeable battery giving it a standby time of 165 hours.

Alcatel Mobile Phones

Alcatel Mobile Phones is a brand of mobile handsets. It was established in 2004 as a joint venture between Alcatel-Lucent of France (45%) and TCL Communication of China (55%). In 2005 the joint venture was dissolved and TCL acquired Alcatel's 45 percent share. Since then Alcatel Mobile Phones is a wholly owned subsidiary group of TCL.

TCL Mobile Limited (former name: T&A Mobile Phones Limited) is a member of TCL Communication listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE: 2618) which was established in August 2004 by TCL Communication and Alcatel.

TCL Mobile Limited manages three business units: Alcatel Mobile Phones, TCL Mobile Phones and Brand Design Lab. Alcatel-Lucent later sold its shares in TCL and is no longer related to the Alcatel Mobile Phones brand.
