Albiano d'Ivrea

Albiano d'Ivrea is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Turin.

Albiano d'Ivrea borders the following municipalities: Bollengo, Ivrea, Palazzo Canavese, Piverone, Azeglio, Caravino, and Vestignè. The economy is mostly based on cereals and forage production.

The baroque church of San Martino Vescovo di Tours is located in the city.

Barga

Barga is a medieval town and comune of the province of Lucca in Tuscany, central Italy. It is home to around 10,000 people and is the chief town of the "Media Valle" (mid valley) of the Serchio River.

Geography

Barga lies 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of the provincial capital, Lucca. It is overlooked by the village of Albiano, a località of Barga, which in the 10th century was the site of a castle protecting the town.

Pania della Croce, a mountain of the Apuan Alps, dominates the surrounding chestnut trees, grape vines and olive groves.

History

Ivrea

Ivrea (Italian pronunciation: [iˈvrɛːa]; Latin: Eporedia) is a town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. Situated on the road leading to the Aosta Valley (part of the medieval Via Francigena), it straddles the Dora Baltea and is regarded as the centre of the Canavese area. Ivrea lies in a basin that in prehistoric times formed a large lake. Today a number of five smaller lakes — Sirio, San Michele, Pistono, Nero and Campagna — are found in the area around the town.

History

Ivrea and its surroundings have been inhabited since the Neolithic era; the Celts are believed to have had a village in Ivrea from around the 5th century BC. However, the town first officially appears in history as an outpost of the Roman Empire founded in 100 BC, probably built to guard one of the traditional invasion routes into northern Italy over the Alps. Its Latin name was Eporedia.

After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, Ivrea became the seat of a duchy under the Lombards (6th-8th centuries). Under the Franks (9th century), Ivrea was a county capital. In the year 1001, after a period of disputes with bishop Warmund, ruler of the city, Arduin conquered the March of Ivrea. Later he became King of Italy and began a dynasty that lasted until the 11th century, when the city fell again under the bishops' sovereignty.

Editorial Ivrea is an Argentine manga and comics publisher that publishes in Argentina, Spain and Finland. They also published Lazer, a magazine which was specialized in anime, comics, manga, series and other media. The magazine has an acid humor and has also organized parties in Argentina. On June 15, 2008, they started Lazer Royale, in which they made Concourse for cosplayers, and Tokyo Weekend on July 27, 2008. Famous singers Nobuo Yamada and Ricardo Cruz also appeared during the event. During August 2009, Ivrea announced the end of Lazers publication due to copyright issues with Shueisha and Shogakukan regarding the use of images in the magazine.

Editorial Ivrea was founded in 1997 in Argentina, and since then, they have released several comics. Initially, they published manga volumes of 200 pages and others of 100 pages, which are half of the tankōbon format. Later, they started releasing manwhua and Argentinian comics, including EL NEGRO BLANCO. The Spanish publisher specializes in comics focused on different ages and has also released South American and European books, as well as artbooks from manga series.
