Albert Collins
Albert Gene Drewery a.k.a. Albert Collins (October 1, 1932 – November 24, 1993) was an American electric blues guitarist and singer with a distinctive guitar style. Collins was noted for his powerful playing and his use of altered tunings and capo. His long association with the Fender Telecaster led to the title "The Master of the Telecaster".
Early life
Albert Collins (painter)
Albert E. Collins (1883–1951) was an Australian painter, teacher and actor born in New Zealand. After a successful career in painting and teaching he joined ABC radio, where he gave pleasure to a generation of children as "Joe" of the Children's Session and the main character in the long-running serial "Wide-awake Bunyip".
Teaching career
Albert Collins was born in Aotearoa, New Zealand and in 1906 left to teach drawing at Abbotsleigh School for Girls in Wahroonga where he continued taking classes 1912. Among his students was Grace Cossington Smith
He also taught at Redlands School, Cremorne from 1913–1916. The school yearbook reported that "Mr Collins class for design is fast becoming a popular one. There is evidently no lack of talent, and some of the work done shows great promise for the future." One notable student was Alison Rehfisch (née Green). He awarded a special prize to another student, Jean Sulman for designing a new cover for the school magazine which was used from 1915 to 1938. He was also on the teaching staff at Normanhurst, Meriden, Ascham, St Vincent's (and perhaps others) at various times.
Albert Collins (footballer)
Albert John Collins (born Sheerness, 16 January 1899, died Gillingham, 1 December 1969) was an English footballer who played professionally for clubs including Millwall and Gillingham. He made 170 Football League appearances for the latter club. On leaving Gillingham he went into non-League football, first with Tunbridge Wells Rangers and finally with Canterbury Waverley.

Albert Collins (politician)
Albert Ernest Collins (11 March 1868 – 22 July 1956) was an Australian politician.
He was born at Goulburn to broker Joseph Collins and Priscilla Israel. He attended Crown Street Public School but left at fourteen to be apprenticed to a chemist in Narrabri. He then worked in his brother's store, becoming a manager in 1886 and sole proprietor in 1898. From 1894 to 1901 he was an alderman at Narrabri, serving as mayor from 1898 to 1901. In 1901 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Liberal member for Narrabri. He transferred to Namoi as an Independent Liberal in 1904 and retired from politics in 1910. Collins died at Killara in 1956.
