Device was an industrial metal band started by David Draiman, frontman of the heavy metal group Disturbed. Draiman was approached by Geno Lenardo, former guitarist of Filter, and together they started to work on new material. The two started work on a debut album in June 2012. The result of those sessions, Device, was released on April 9, 2013. The first single and third track, "Vilify" was released to radio ahead of the album on February 19, 2013, alongside its first music video, directed by P. R. Brown. The second single and the introductory track, "You Think You Know", was released on June 11, 2013, alongside its music video, directed once again by Brown.

History

Formation and self-titled album (2012-2013)

After Disturbed went into hiatus in late 2011, frontman David Draiman announced a new side-project called Device in May 2012. He revealed that he would be working with Geno Lenardo, former guitarist for Filter for their Title of Record and Amalgamut albums, in the new sideproject. Draiman revealed his intention to do a project with more of an electronic sound, but in an industrial metal type way, sounding similar to Nine Inch Nails or Ministry, not dubstep.

Overview

Alarm was filmed primarily in Dublin, Ireland. The lead actors are Aidan Turner (known for his role as Kíli in the film series The Hobbit) and Ruth Bradley (known for playing Garda Lisa Nolan in Grabbers).

Plot

After witnessing the murder of her father by burglars, Molly is living with friends and seeing a psychiatrist (Emmet Bergin) to deal with her panic attacks. She dreams of finding a house where she can live alone. Upon buying her dream house in a Dublin suburb, she gives a house-warming party and one of her friends brings along an old classmate of Molly's, Mal. Molly had fancied Mal during school, and now they become a couple. With a new house and a new boyfriend, things seem perfect.

However, soon her house is burglarized again and again, although her neighours are spared. Molly suspects that someone she knows might be involved.

ALARM Magazine was an American quarterly magazine based in Chicago, Illinois that publishes "Music and Art Beyond Comparison." It covers emerging and mid-career musicians and artists with a focus on independent, underground, or otherwise non-mainstream music and art. It also covers fashion, film, toys, and electronic media to a lesser extent.

Editor/publisher Chris Force founded the magazine in 1995 in Connecticut. The magazine then moved to Boston, Massachusetts. The magazine moved to Chicago in 2002.

The magazine includes a sizable music reviews section, interviews with bands, musicians, visual and performing artists. There are also in-depth features, columnists, book and film reviews, and music and art listings. Past issues have featured Brooklyn Rappers, Polish Folk bands, Japanese pop singers, Chinese punk bands,California graffiti artists, train-hopping hobo craftsmen, and Hopi katsina artists. The magazine has also done features on well-known artists such as The Ramones, Queens of the Stone Age, Eels, Glenn Danzig, and Saul Williams.
