Alan Reynolds

Alan Reynolds (born c. 1943) is one of the original supply-side economists.

He is Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute and was formerly Director of Economic Research at the Hudson Institute (1990–2000). He served as Research Director with National Commission on Tax Reform and Economic Growth, (the Kemp Commission), an advisor to the National Commission on the Cost of Higher Education, and as a member of the OMB transition team in 1981.

His studies have been published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the Joint Economic Committee, the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and St. Louis and the Australian Stock Exchange. The latter paper was influential in the decision by the Australian Government to cut the capital gains tax rate in 1999.

Reynolds received his A.B. in economics from UCLA in 1965 and pursued graduate studies at night at Cal State Sacramento from 1967 to 1970.

Author of Income and Wealth (Greenwood Press 2006), and The Microsoft Antitrust Appeal (Hudson Institute 2001), he has written for numerous publications since 1971 including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, National Review, The New Republic, Fortune, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washington Times and The Harvard Business Review. Reynolds is a former columnist with Forbes, Reason and Creators Syndicate.

Alan Reynolds (artist)

Alan Munro Reynolds (27 April 1926 – 28 August 2014) was a British painter.

Reynolds was born on 27 April 1926 at Newmarket, Suffolk, where his father worked as a stableman. He studied at the Woolwich Polytechnic from 1948 to 1952 and in 1954, and at the Royal College of Art from 1952 to 1953. He taught at the Central School of Art and Design from 1954 to 1961, and from 1961 or 1962 at Saint Martin's School of Art, where he became a senior lecturer in painting in 1985. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the National Museum of Canada, the V&A and the Tate among others. He was known first as a landscape painter, but changed to a totally abstract style from 1960. He lived and worked in Kent.

Alan Reynolds (footballer)

Alan Reynolds (born June 12, 1974 in Waterford) is a former Irish footballer and manager. He is currently working as a Football In Community Development Officer for the Football Association of Ireland.

He made his League of Ireland debut on 1 December 1991 for his hometown club Waterford United under the stewardship of Alfie Hale. His first goal for the Blues came on 21 November 1993.

After ten seasons he transferred to Longford Town F.C. for one season before arriving at Cork City F.C. where he again spent one season before joining Shamrock Rovers. He made his debut on 11 April 2003 against Drogheda United In his first season in the Hoops he played in four European games, including the famous UEFA Intertoto Cup win in Poland over Odra Wodzisław.

In March 2004 he was appointed player-manager at Waterford United with Paul McGrath as Director of Football. The Blues reached the FAI Cup Final in his first season before disastrously losing the game in the last five minutes.
