Aladdin is the 31st animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, and was part of the Disney film era known as the Disney Renaissance. The musical score was written by Alan Menken and features six songs with lyrics written by both Ashman and Tim Rice, who took over after Ashman's death.
We’re livin’ in a paper castle
The wind is gonna blow it down
We’re livin’ in a paper castle
The wind is gonna blow it down, down, down, down
Everybody in this world is from the same side of the tracks
Everybody cryin’ of mistrust
You can’t even turn your back
The bad neighborhood where you live
The city gonna’ tear it down
They increase the taxes
Give you government money
You can move uptown
It seems as though that nothing good don’t matter no more
Seems like we just can’t get ourselves together no more
No no
We’re livin’ in a paper castle
The wind is gonna blow it down
We’re livin’ in a paper castle
The wind is gonna blow it down, down, down, down
Populating steady increases
Soon there won’t be no room
People tried to live somewhere
So they tried to get to the moon
