Coordinates: 54°01′01″N 1°27′54″W / 54.017°N 1.465°W / 54.017; -1.465 Airedale is a geographic area in Yorkshire, England, corresponding to the river valley of the River Aire (pronounced air).
The valley stretches from the river's origin in Aire Head Springs,Malham which is in the Yorkshire Dales, down past Skipton on to Keighley, Bingley and Shipley through to Leeds and Castleford and on to join the River Ouse at Airmyn.
This valley is of great topographic significance as it provides low-altitude passes through the mid Pennines to the west coast known as the Aire Gap.
The upper Aire valley was formed 12,000 years ago by a retreating glacier. A moraine formed in the Cononley area and the lake stretched as far north as Gargrave. Colonisation by man developed later on, especially during the Iron Age. The peoples that occupied the Aire Valley (and much of north eastern England) were called Brigantes by the Romans.
Transport improved in the 18th and 19th centuries with the building of the Aire and Calder Navigation and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The railways arrived from the 1830s onwards and during the twentieth century the roads were vastly improved in the valley.
The Airedale was an English automobile made in Esholt, near Shipley, West Yorkshire. It was the successor to the Tiny made by Nanson, Barker & Co from 1911 to the outbreak of war in the same town.
After the war in 1919 a larger car was developed and the company name changed to Airedale. This new model was rated at 12 hp and had a 1795 cc four-cylinder overhead-valve Dorman KNO engine with Zenith carburettor producing 22 bhp (16 kW; 22 PS) at 1500 rpm. Drive to the rear wheels was through a four-speed gearbox and plate clutch. The car had a wheelbase of 9 feet 9 inches (2.97 m) and overall length of 13 feet (4.0 m) with conventional half elliptic leaf springs all round. It seems to have also been known as the 12/24 and 11.9 hp. In 1922 they had sufficient confidence to take a stand at the London Motor Show and the name of the company was changed from Nanson, Barker and Company to Airedale Cars. The cars at the show were priced at £575 for a special coupé, £435 for a 4-seat tourer, £425 for a 2-seater with dickey and £375 for a bare chassis.
The Airedale Terrier (often shortened to "Airedale"), also called Bingley Terrier and Waterside Terrier, is a dog breed of the terrier type that originated in the valley (dale) of the River Aire, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is traditionally called the "King of Terriers" because it is the largest of the terrier breeds. The Airedale was bred from a Welsh Terrier and an Otterhound and probably some other Terrier breeds, originally to hunt otters. In Britain this breed has also been used as a war dog, guide dog and police dog.
The Airedale is the largest of the British Terriers. They weigh 20–30 kilograms (44–66 lb) in fit condition and have a height at the withers of 58–61 centimetres (23–24 in) for males, with females slightly smaller. The American Kennel Club standard specifies a very slightly smaller dog. Larger Airedales, up to 55 kilograms (121 lb) can be found in North America. They are often called "Oorangs." This was the name of a kennel in Ohio in the early 1900s.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien. Regardons autour de nous
On vit dans un monde de fous
Chacun cherche sa gloire,
Chacun cherche l'espoir.
On oublie ce qui nous entoure
Ceux qui nous donnent de l'Amour
On chasse de notre memoire
Ce qui nous empeche d'y croire.
On laisse au bord du chemin.
Les chagrins sans lendemain,
On poursuit chacun sa route.
On laisse au bord de la route
Chacun tous ses petits doutes,
On poursuit son chemin. Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Tenir au creux de ses mains
Les clefs de notre destin,
Mener a la victoire
Tous nos reves d'un soir.
Et on court apres le temps
On passe a cote des gens,
On court apres l'argent,
On se cache, on se ment.
Meme si la solitude
Est notre seule attitude,
On garde en chacun de nous
L'Amour de ceux qui nous aime,
Meme si on a de la peine,
On se retrouvera.
Meme si la realite
N'est pas notre verite,
On continue a y croire
A se battre pour notre histoire.
Meme si le prix a payer
Est plus cher a chaque fois,
On continue a y croire
Des espoirs pour nos espoirs.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.
Chacun pense a soi
Comme si il n'y avait que ca,
Chacun mene a bien
Que ce qu'il veut bien.

"EVERYONE THINKS ABOUT THEMSELVES"
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Just what they really want to do
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Only what they really want to do
Let's look around us
We live in a crazy world
Everyone seeks some glory,
Everyone seeks some hope
We forget all the things around us
Those who give us love.
We dismiss from our memory
Everything that stops us believing.
We leave by the edge of the path
The short-lived sorrows.
Everyone, follow the road
and leave by its edge
every last doubt
And carry on walking.
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Just what they really want to do
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Only what they really want to do
Holding in our hands
The keys of our destiny
Leading to victory
Our one night's dreams.
And we run after time,
We turn away from people,
We run after money,
We hide and lie to each other
Even though loneliness
Is our unique attitude,
We keep to ourselves
The love of those who love us,
Even though we feel upset,
We will meet up again.
Even if reality
Is not our truth,
We keep on believing,
And fight for our history.
Though the price to pay
Is more expensive each time,
We keep on believing
A few hopes for our new hopes.
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Just what they really want to do
Everyone thinks about themselves
As if they were the only ones,
Everyone sees it through
Only what they really want to do
