Disguises is the second commercially released album by Cauterize, following 2003's So Far From Real. This was the band's first and only album released by High4Records. The album includes six remastered tracks from the band's 2005 independently released album Paper Wings and two re-recorded songs from that album ("Closer" and "Paper Wings"). The first 2000 buyers of the album online through MapleMusic received a five-track acoustic CD entitled Unmasked.
Poor album sales were evident shortly after the album was released, as the Unmasked albums did not sell out, prompting them to be sold off by the label. Due to this, no music videos were released. The band decided to split approximately three months after the release of the album.
Disguises is the fifth studio album by American rock band Aiden. Disguises was recorded some time between 2010 and 2011. Unlike previous albums, Disguises has a large usage of gang vocals. It is also their last album with founding drummer Jake Davison.
This is the only album by Aiden to not chart on Billboard Top 200, or any other chart.
So far, three singles have been released. "Walk Among the Dead", "Hysteria" (the first music video of the album), and "A Portrait of the Artist", which was released on their personal YouTube channel "Aidenvision". The music video for "Hysteria", featuring lyrics critical of religion, shows William Francis singing in a priest's robe juxtaposed with stock footage of burning churches, religious leaders, and social unrest. The music video for "A Portrait of the Artist" shows the other Aiden band members kidnapping Francis and ultimately hanging him and notably features drummer Ryan Seaman wearing a bandanna in place of Davison. No video for the first single, "Walk Among the Dead" has been released.

Aidan, Aiden, or Aedan are the primary anglicisations of the Irish given name Aodhán and the Scottish Gaelic given name Aodhàn.
The name is derived from the name Aodhán, which is a pet form of Aodh. It can be used as a masculine or feminine given name. The personal name Aodh means "fiery" and/or "bringer of fire" and was the name of a Celtic sun god (see Aed).
Formerly common only in Ireland and Scotland, the name and its variants have become popular in England, the United States, and Canada. Aidan has been the 57th most popular name in the United States since the start of the year 2000, bestowed on over 62,000 boys, while Aiden ranking 66th, has been used on over 51,000 boys. Other variants are a bit less popular, such as Hayden 88th, Ayden 189th, Aden 333rd, Aydan 808th, and Aydin 960th, according to the United States Social Security Database. "Aidan/Aiden" was the most popular boys' name in Canada in 2007.
The spellings Aydan, Aydin, or Aden are all more common with Turkish or Arabic origins, and have a different pronunciation.

(Stay away! )
... darling. Light of my life. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya.
I'm just gonna bash your brains.
I'm gonna bash 'em right the fuck in, hehe.
Go!
This is for the godless and vilified
This is for the faithless soul
The last of human kind
This is for gutless and terrified
The end of the human race
To conquer and divide
We laugh, oh we laugh
Among the dead
Yeah, I'm not afraid to die
We walk among the dead
I just stop breathing
Among the dead
Yeah, wake up, wake up alive
We walk among the dead,
We're unafraid to die
This is for the godless and vilified
This is for the human race
They try to exterminate
We laugh, oh we laugh
Among the dead,
Yeah, I'm not afraid to die.
We walk among the dead,
I just stop breathing.
Among the dead,
Yeah, wake up, wake up alive.
We walk among the dead,
Unafraid to die, oooh
This is a call to every kid on the street
In search of food and shelter, to every gay and lesbian
Who need not suffer some divine dictatorship instruction
That was given to barbaric semi illiterate tribe
In the desert two thousand fucking years ago,
This song is to stand up and say "No more!"
Faith is the enemy of reason and religion
Will be the end of us all.
Among the dead,
Yeah, I'm not afraid to die
We walk among the dead,
I just stop breathing.
Among the dead,
Yeah, wake up, wake up alive
We walk among the dead,
We're unafraid to die
Among the dead,
Yeah, I'm not afraid to die
We walk among the dead,
Godless and Immortal
Among the dead,
Not afraid to die
We walk among the dead,
Godless,
Godless, Immortal!
