Ahmed Hassan

Ahmed Hassan (Arabic: أحمد حسن‎) (born 2 May 1975 in Maghagha, Egypt) is a retired Egyptian footballer who is currently the manager of Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League. He played as an attacking midfielder or on the right wing for Egyptian national team. He is the most capped international male footballer in history with 184 appearances for Egypt.

Career

Ahmed Hassan started his professional football career as a right-back at Aswan Club in the Egyptian lower divisions. After one season there, he moved to the more successful Ismaily. He was 20 when he was selected for the first time to play in the Egyptian national team's friendly match against Ghana on 29 December 1995. After his impressive performances with the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations 1998, including scoring a goal from a long range shot against South Africa in the final that helped the squad win the tournament, Hassan joined Turkish side Kocaelispor at the age of 22. In 2000, he was transferred to Denizlispor before joining his Egyptian international teammate Abdel-Zaher El-Saqua in 2001 when he moved to Gençlerbirliği. Following three successful seasons with the club, during which the team twice made the Turkish Cup Final, he moved to Beşiktaş where he was a first team regular as well as a regular on the team's scoring sheet. He particularly impressed manager Jean Tigana who, despite being known for selecting younger players for his first team, still regarded the 30-year-old Hassan a key player of the squad. Tigana stated that "Hassan is a hardworking player who is quick and talented."

Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub

Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub (Arabic: أحمد حسن محجوب; born 5 March 1993), known as Kouka or Koka, is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays for Portuguese club S.C. Braga and the Egyptian national team as a striker.

Club career

Al Ahly

Hassan started his youth career with Al Ahly SC. After Al Ahly did not offer him a professional contract, he decided to leave and in December 2011 he joined Portuguese side Rio Ave.

Rio Ave

Hassan played for Rio Ave's youth team for one season. He was promoted to the first team in the beginning of the 2012–13 season and debuted on 9 September 2012 against F.C. Paços de Ferreira.

Braga

On 26 August 2015, Hassan signed a five-year contract with S.C. Braga. On 22 October 2015, he scored the first goal in Braga's 3-2 Europa League group stage win against Olympique de Marseille. In tears during his celebration, Hassan dedicated the goal to his father, who had passed away the day before.

International career

As a Egyptian under-20 national team player, Hassan scored twice in Turkey against Iraq and England, while assisting his country's only goal against Chile for the Egypt U-20 team.
