Adrian G Iselin
Adrian Georg Iselin (1818-1905) was a New York financier who invested in and developed real estate, railroads, and mining operations. Iselin was born of Swiss ancestry in 1818. For many years during his early business career he was engaged in importing with his brother, William Iselin, being one of the most successful merchants of New York in the middle of the century. After retiring from the importing trade, he established the banking house of Adrian Iselin & Co., but has been entirely out of active business since 1883.
Early life
In 1845 married Elanora O'Donnell of Baltimore, the daughter of General Columbus O'Donnell and his wife Eleanora. Her father was at the head of one of the foremost families of that city, and was a leading financier of Maryland, being connected with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and other important corporations.
Iselin eventually became the chief investor in the Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal and Iron Company. At the outbreak of the Civil War his Wall Street firm of A. Iselin and Company was so strong that it helped to finance the United States Government. Before his involvement with coal in Pennsylvania, Iselin was one of the directors of the Sioux City and St. Paul Railroad Company in Minnesota. The town of Adrian, Minnesota, which developed after completion of the rail lines, was named after his mother, Mrs. Adrian Iselin.

Metropark (NJT station)
Metropark, or Metropark Station, is a train station in Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, served by Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor. It was built in 1971 by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the United States Department of Transportation. Its purpose was to provide a suburban park-and-ride stop for the new high-speed rail Metroliners.
Location
The station is located in the Iselin section of Woodbridge and is one of three stations NJT operates in the township along with Avenel and Woodbridge stations. Metropark's property is set between Middlesex Essex Turnpike and NJ 27 and is located near Iselin's border with the Colonia section of Woodbridge and the township's border with neighboring Edison. It is reached via Exits 131 or 132 of the Garden State Parkway.
History
Metropark was one of two park-and-ride infill stations proposed in the 1960s for use by the new Metroliners, the other being Capital Beltway in Lanham, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.. The two stations were originally named Capital Beltway Metropark and Garden State Metropark, though these were shortened to Capital Beltway and Metropark, respectively. Both were conceived as public-private partnerships. Under a plan put forward in late 1968 by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) the state would contribute $648,000 toward the cost of the station, then estimated at $1,400,000.
Iselin, New Jersey
Iselin /ˈɪzɛlɪn/ is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) located within Woodbridge Township, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 18,695.
Previously known as Perrytown and Unionville, Iselin received its current name after a New York investment banker and philanthropist Adrian G Iselin in the 1870s. He established a finishing school for girls from wealthy New York families there and subsidized the erection of a new train station currently known as Metropark. The largest bordering town of Iselin is Edison.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total area of 3.190 square miles (8.263 km2), of which, 3.189 square miles (8.261 km2) of it was land and 0.001 square miles (0.003 km2) of it (0.03%) was water.
Education
Iselin public school students attend the schools of the Woodbridge Township School District. Elementary Schools #18, #24 and #26 are located in Iselin as well as Iselin Middle School (nicknamed the Panthers) and John F. Kennedy Memorial High School (nicknamed the Mustangs).
Adrian
Adrian is a form of the Latin given name Adrianus or Hadrianus. Its ultimate origin is most likely via the former river Adria from the Venetic and Illyrian word adur, meaning 'sea' or 'water'. The Adria was until the 8th century BC the main channel of the Po River into the Adriatic Sea but ceased to exist before the 1st century BC. Hecataeus of Miletus (c.550 - c.476 BC) asserted that both the Etruscan harbor city of Adria and the Adriatic Sea had been named after it. Emperor Hadrian's family was named after the city or region of Adria/Hadria, now Atri, in Picenum, which most likely started as an Etruscan or Greek colony of the older harbor city of the same name.
Several saints and six popes have borne this name, including the only English pope, Adrian IV, and the only Dutch pope, Adrian VI. As an English name, it has been in use since the Middle Ages though it was not popular until modern times.

Adrian Ma, (born February 18, 1997) usually known just as Adrian or Popstar Adrian, is an American professional League of Legends player who currently plays support for Immortals of the North American League of Legends Championship Series. He graduated high school early at age 17 to attend the first varsity college eSports team in the world, the program at Robert Morris University Illinois. Adrian has also played for LMQ and Team Impulse.
On July 18, 2015 he temporarily stepped down from his role on the starting roster of Team Impulse.
