Adil Khan

Adil Khan (Urdu: عادل خان‎, pronounced [ˈaːd̪ɪl ˈxaːn]; born on 3 February 1983 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian dancer and actor of Punjabi/Pashtun descent. Adil came to the limelight when he won Dansefeber, (the Norwegian version of So You Think You Can Dance) hosted by TVNorge in 2006.

Biography

Beginnings

Adil Khan was born in Oslo, Norway. In his early childhood, he lived at Munkelia. Later, his family moved to Grønland and then to an area close to Ullevål Stadion. Adil's father is from the Punjab province of Pakistan and mother is a Pashtun who has her roots in Afghanistan. Adil is the younger brother of singer, composer, film maker and human rights activist Deeyah Khan.

Music and dance

Adil belongs to an art loving family. From Adil's childhood, his father has been an initiator of cultural activities in Norway, particularly being at the forefront of introducing workshops for Pakistani Classical Music, as well as being a participating figure in literary and art circles. Adil's father is responsible for arranging music concerts and introducing Norwegian audiences to the music and creative traditions of Pakistan. Because of his father's activities in music and the arts, Adil started learning music from a very early age like his sister Deeyah.

Adil Khan (footballer)

Adil Ahmed Khan (born 7 July 1988) is an Indian footballer who currently plays for Bharat FC in the I-League as a Defensive Midfielder or as a Right Back.

Career

Sporting Goa

A product of the Sesa Football Academy, Adil Khan started his football career in SESA in 2003 where he played for 5 years. He then moved to Sporting Clube de Goa in 2008 where he played till the end of the 2012-13 season.

Mohun Bagan

Khan signed for century-old Kolkata-based club Mohun Bagan A.C. on one-year deal. He made his debut for Mohun Bagan in the I-League on 22 October 2013 against Bengaluru FC at the Bangalore Football Stadium in which he played till the 79th minutes before being replaced by Shankar Oraon as Mohun Bagan drew the match 1-1.

Delhi Dynamos FC

Adil Khan represented Delhi Dynamos FC in the 2014 ISL.

Bharat FC

Adil joined the newly formed I-League team Bharat FC for the 2014-2015 season.

International

Adil made his senior international debut against Azerbaijan for India on 27 February 2012.
