Adam Thomas

Adam Gordon Thomas (born 11 August 1988 in Manchester, England) is an English actor. He is best known for playing the role of Adam Barton in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale and as Donte Charles in the BBC drama Waterloo Road.

Career

It was in 2002, at the age of 15, that Thomas started his television career with a guest appearance on the BBC daytime soap opera Doctors. It was another four years before Adam launched to fame in his breakthrough role as Donte Charles in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road of which he was an original cast member upon its inception in 2006 until 2009.

The role of Donte led Thomas to enjoy guest appearances in popular hospital drama Casualty in 2008 in which he played a boxer, as well as a second appearance in Doctors in 2007. He also appeared as himself on ITV gameshow All Star Family Fortunes alongside his older brother and fellow actor Ryan, who plays Jason Grimshaw in the soap opera, Coronation Street.

In early 2009, it was confirmed that Thomas was to leave Waterloo Road at the end of the fourth series due to his character having finished his education at the fictional school. Thomas' final episode was broadcast 20 May 2009.

Adam Thomas (born 1 April 1992) is a New Zealand footballer who plays as a midfielder for Team Wellington in the New Zealand Football Championship. He represented New Zealand at the 2012 Summer Olympics

Club career

Thomas joined Team Wellington in January 2013. He transferred mid-season from Waikato FC where he had been stood down for giving them late notice of his intentions to move to Wellington.

Adam Thomas, born 22 August 1986 in Ynysybwl, Wales, is a rugby union player for Pontypridd RFC in the Principality Premiership.

Thomas was drafted to the Pontypridd squad from his local Ynysybwl RFC club after having impressed the coaching staff during the Silver Ball cup final of 2005.

During the summer of 2009, Thomas flew to New Zealand to play for Waikaka White Star RFC, impressing the provincial staff enough to be called into the training squad for the Air New Zealand Cup team, Southland Rugby.

Plot

Synopsis

Torchwood encounter an alien, Adam, who has the ability of memory manipulation. By implanting false memories into each team member, making them believe they have known him for three years, Adam's manipulation changes the team dramatically: Gwen loses all memory of Rhys, Jack is haunted by memories of his lost brother Gray, from whom he was separated as a child on the Boeshane Peninsula, Toshiko has become more confident and believes that she and Adam are in love, and Owen has been manipulated into thinking he is more or less a geek in comparison to his actual self, and madly in love with Toshiko.

After reading his diary, Ianto becomes disturbed when he notices there is no mention of Adam. Adam confronts him and implants false memories into Ianto’s mind, leading Ianto to believe he is a serial killer. Jack returns to find Ianto deeply upset but refuses to believe that Ianto is a killer. The pair search Torchwood's files, discovering the truth after seeing footage of Adam implanting the memories into the team. Jack discovers that the team needs to take amnesia pills, to erase their memories of the past forty-eight hours. He gathers the team and asks each person to try to recall who they really are. Each member takes their pill, Owen looking at Tosh and giving a small smile.
