Ethan Wayne

John Ethan Wayne (born February 22, 1962), better known by his stage name Ethan Wayne, is an American actor, son of actor John Wayne and his third wife Pilar Pallete Wayne. Ethan grew up in Newport Beach, where he shared his father's love of the ocean and outdoors. His name was chosen in direct relation to John Wayne's character in The Searchers, Ethan Edwards.

He played Little Jake, the grandson of his father's title character in Big Jake. Ethan started doing stunt work after the death of his father in 1979. His first film was The Blues Brothers. He then went back to work as an actor. His next two major film appearances were in 1981, in the comedy Longshot, and the slasher film Scream. Later works included a role, in the NBC TV movie The Alamo: 13 Days to Glory, as Edward Taylor in 1986, Storm Logan on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (with Robert Mitchum's granddaughter Carrie Mitchum, whom he had met on the Big Jake set), 1987 through 1988 which led to a lot of work overseas, and his role as Officer Matt Doyle on The New Adam-12 (Universal Studios) 1989 through 1991. He appeared as an expert on John Wayne memorabilia on History Channel's Pawn Stars in the episode "Dog Day Afternoon" which aired January 14, 2014.

Peter Parros

Peter Parros (born November 11, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor and screenwriter. His acting credits include stage, screen and television, but he may be most recognized for his nearly decade-long portrayal of Dr. Ben Harris on the CBS soap As the World Turns.

Biography

Early life

Peter Parros was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. He became interested in acting and the film industry after holding a job with a company that created special effects miniatures. When interviewed, he referred to the initial stages of his acting endeavor as being completely different than what other actors and actresses found. He said, "What drew me in wasn't the Shakespearean quality of acting. I was going to be the black Arnold Schwarzenegger.".

Career

Initially, Parros acted solely in theater. Eventually, he found minor success on screen. In 1984, Parros landed his first television role as Michael, Tootie's cousin, in The Facts of Life. His first regular series role was on Knight Rider in 1985, playing "RC3", a.k.a. Reginald Cornelius III, the new mechanic (and sometime partner to Michael Knight) who worked on KITT; he appeared in the fourth and final season of the series.

Aurélio Miguel

Aurélio Fernández Miguel (born March 10, 1964) is a Brazilian judoka and Olympic champion, and later politician. Among his best sporting achievements are his gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, and a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Sports career

Aurélio Miguel was born on March 10, 1964 in São Paulo. Due to bronchitis and the insistence of his father, Aurélio Marin, Aurélio Fernández Miguel began training in judo at the age of four years. Initially, Aurélio disliked judo, and as a child, was terrified of the roughness of the competitions and tournaments. As time passed, he became fond of the sport, and eventually won his first title in 1972. Aurélio Miguel then won the Paulista tournament many times, and by the year 1980, he was recognized as the best judoka in the state. Afterwards, Miguel started to compete internationally, winning the silver medal at the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas, Venezuela. He won the gold medal in the 1987 Pan American Games, again fighting in the under 95 kg category. In 1987 he also won a bronze medal at the World Judo Championships. At the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul he became Olympic Champion, winning the -95 kg class by beating Marc Meiling from West Germany in the final. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona he placed ninth. He won a silver medal at the 1993 World Judo Championships in Hamilton, losing the final to Hungarian judoka Antal Kovács. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta he received a bronze medal, and next year he won a silver medal at the 1997 World Judo Championships in Paris, behind gold winner Pawel Nastula from Poland.

Adam-12

Adam-12 is a television police drama that followed two police officers of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Pete Malloy and Jim Reed, as they rode the streets of Los Angeles in their patrol unit, 1-Adam-12.

Created by R. A. Cinader and Jack Webb, also known for creating Dragnet, the series starred Martin Milner and Kent McCord and captured a typical day in the life of a police officer as realistically as possible. The show originally ran from September 21, 1968, through May 20, 1975, and helped introduce police procedures and jargon to the general public in the United States.

Locations

Adam-12 featured the year-old LAPD Rampart Division station at 2710 West Temple Street as the setting for the series. However, according to the radio call sign of the unit "1-Adam-12", the patrol area was within the Central Division (Division One), which serves Downtown Los Angeles, rather than Rampart (Division Two). Many of the filming locations were in the San Fernando Valley, and the garage used tow trucks from the North Hollywood Division, close to Universal Studios which co-produced the show with Mark VII Limited. The Temple Street building was closed in 2008, as a newer and larger station now houses the Rampart Division; the old building is being renovated to serve as headquarters for LAPD's Metro Division, an elite reserve unit that includes counterterrorism and SWAT platoons.

Adam-12 (1990 TV series)

The 1990 television series Adam-12, also known as The New Adam-12, is a syndicated revival of the 1968-1975 series of the same name. Like the original, this program focused on the daily jobs and lives of two police officers whose patrol car is designated "Adam-12." This time, the officers assigned to Adam-12 were Matt Doyle (Ethan Wayne) and his partner Gus Grant (Peter Parros).This series ran two 26 episode seasons consecutively for 52 straight weeks, so although it had two seasons it ran for one calendar year. The New Adam-12 was paired up with another revival of a Jack Webb television series: The New Dragnet. Both revivals were considerably different from the originals and can be considered revivals in name only.
