Those Dirty Dogs (Italian: Campa carogna... la taglia cresce, Spanish: Los cuatro de Fort Apache, also known as Charge!) is a 1973 Italian-Spanish-American Spaghetti Western film written and directed by Giuseppe Rosati and starring Gianni Garko and Stephen Boyd.

Charge (TV series)

Charge was originally produced as a youth television show aimed at showcasing viewer's user-generated content. It was broadcast on the Media Trust’s Community Channel on Sky channel 539, Virgin TV channel 233 and Freeview channel 87 in the UK.

After the second series it was decided to expand charge into a separate youth strand on the Community Channel and it ran in this form for two series.

Content

Targeted at 16- to 25-year-olds, the first two series were dedicated to showcasing viewer's originally produced content and featured a mixture of music videos, drama, comedy and documentary. Series 3 and 4 concentrated on dealing with a different issue each week that affect young people and featured studio guests and series produced by young television producers including The House and True Tube.

Specials

There were a number of special produced for Charge including Street Crime UK – a series of short documentaries from around the UK looking at knife and gun crime, and McConville Reports following a young trainee journalist’s quest to interview the leaders of Britain’s leading parties.

Absolution of the dead

The Absolution of the dead (or Absoute from the French) is a series of prayers for pardon and remission of sins that are said in some Christian churches (particularly the Catholic Church) over the body of a deceased believer before burial. The practice is found in the Eastern Orthodox Church as well as the Roman Catholic Church. Both churches use this practice to ask God not to have the deceased suffer for transgressions in life that they have repented or have been forgiven for.

Roman Catholic practice

In the Catholic Church the Absolute are said over a deceased Catholic following a Requiem Mass and before burial. The absolution of the dead does not forgive sins or confer the sacramental absolution of the Sacrament of Penance. Rather, it is a series of prayers to God that the person's soul will not have to suffer the temporal punishment in purgatory due for sins which were forgiven during the person's life.

The absolution of the dead is only performed in context of the Tridentine Mass. However, the absolution of the dead is absent from the funeral liturgy of the Pauline Mass.

Absolution (album)

Absolution is the third studio album by English alternative rock band Muse. It was released on 15 September 2003 in Japan, 22 September 2003 in the United Kingdom by East West Records and Taste Media and 23 March 2004 in the United States by Warner Bros. Records. The album followed up on Origin of Symmetry's diverse musical tendencies and elaborate sound, while also having a more focused and consistent theme and aesthetic throughout. Absolution has a noticeably darker and heavier tone musically, with a lyrical focus on the theological and apocalyptic concepts.

The album reached number one in the UK Albums Chart. It also yielded the band's first top 10 single hit, with "Time Is Running Out" peaking at number 8 in the UK Singles Chart. In 2009, it was voted by Kerrang! as the second-best album of the 21st century thus far. (Muse's previous album, Origin of Symmetry, and their subsequent release, Black Holes and Revelations, also appeared in the top fifty).

Title

In April 2004, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy stated "I think the absolution is not necessarily a religious word: "It has meanings of purity (absolute), but it's not necessarily talking from a Christian or any particular religious point of view. I think it's just suggesting that the act of making music is a way of understanding things."

Absolution (comics)

Absolution is a 6-issue comic book limited series written and created by Christos Gage with art by Roberto Viacava that is published by Avatar Press, launched in July 2009.

Plot

In real-life police departments, officers who work in Special Victims Units must rotate out, or otherwise they become affected by the horrible things they see in the course of their jobs. Absolution explores the idea that if police departments employed superhumans, what if they were rare enough that they were the only ones who could do their job, and stayed in that capacity for too long, becoming mentally and emotionally destabilized.

A superhero named John Dusk begins executing criminals after having seen too many horrible sights, believing they do not deserve to live because of the magnitude of their crimes.

Absolution: Rubicon is a 5-issue sequel created & written by Christos Gage with art by Daniel Gete. It was published by Avatar with first issue dated June 2013.

Absolution: Happy Kitty #1 was written by Christos Gage with art by Paul Duffield that was also published by Avatar and dated November 2013.
